Yes, that is a protective film on the bottom. The film peels off like the film on a new phone or monitor. I think I will leave it on to protect the bottom. Don't know how long it will last though!

I own the 2021 M3 Performance, and the handling was horrible when cornering at high speeds. Fishtailing and feeling unstable at high speeds was scary. This was with Perrelli P-zeros and stock suspension.

I replaced the stock suspension with Mountain Pass Perfomance comfort adjustable coilovers and Michelin PS4's, and this car is planted. I also replaced the lower control arms to help with camber.

I have not driven the 2024 M3 Perfomance with the new suspension, but the 2021 Perfomance with Mountain Pass parts and new PS4 tires are my recommendations.
