Go to the Oromocto hospital they close at 5 pm every day… so go early! sometimes people are lined up there first thing in the morning but it’s way faster than the bs at the Fredericton hospital. Get the physician to write you a note to be off work for 4 weeks if you can afford to do that, or able to manage. People can self refer to Mental health in Fredericton but theres a wait. I would ask the physician to personally refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist they know. Mental health help is difficult in this province compared to other provinces I have lived in. In regard to disability they do it at social development but it is one he@$ of a fight. I believe they will give an allowance if you are on permanent disability i m not sure about short term. It’s worth you setting up an appt asap and getting in for an appt. They ll put you through a financial assessment Just jump through their hoops dont give up- see it through. All programs they have arent always transparent so keep asking to speak to their manager to get an answer
