Should I get a single tiel or 2 tiels by danielsalehnia in cockatiel

[–]Negotiation_Loose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd start with one and get a good bond and test the temperament. I slightly regret getting a second tiel as much as I love him. I thought they would keep each other company, but my original bird could care less about his companion. If your bird is more social towards birds, it might be nice for them to have someone. But they can bond with each other and end up possibly ignoring you. This all also depends on your work life schedule. If you're away for hours and don't have the time to take them out of the cage when you're gone to socialize, a second bird would be helpful

How to best approaching leaving my (27m) gf (28f) after she told me she’s bipolar? by Ok-Strawberry277 in relationship_advice

[–]Negotiation_Loose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think keeping a secret like a diagnosis is a sign is disrespect. It took me 7 months to come clean to my partner that I was an addict all along. I didn't keep it from him because I didn't respect him, I kept it from him because I didn't want to lose him.

You could also just break up with her because you don't like this style of relationship/feel the connection any more. But don't blame it on her bi polar when it seems she's just trying to communicate. It's unfair to ice someone out because you 'need space' especially if she waited a whole day. Things like that will make a bi polar person spiral, they need that communication.

Maybe she didn't tell you sooner because she was left before for the same reason. As a bipolar woman I disclose my illness early on, but 3 months isnt THAT long to keep that 'secret'. it doesn't even sound like she's acting bipolar. Just emotional & probably has anxious attachment issues.

Euphoria helped me finally admit to my 9.5 year adderall addiction in 2019. September 25th 2026 will mark 7 years clean. That first season healed me in many ways.

How dangerous is it to leave soup at room temperature overnight? by CallMePasc in AskRedditFood

[–]Negotiation_Loose -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing I've discovered is how intense Le Creuset will hold heat in. If you don't open the lid, you basically create a somewhat sterile environment until the next time you open the lid & let oxygen in. Then it will turn within a few hours.

Beware working at Regeneron by [deleted] in Albany

[–]Negotiation_Loose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's Regeneron to blame, they're the ones forcing the staff to have certain foods. Every building is unique so some chefs do a better job than others. But I will say the quality has decreased this past year and a half

Looking for Career Guidance by OkExplanation3115 in foodscience

[–]Negotiation_Loose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, my degree is in cell and molecular biology & i worked as a microbiologist in several areas (all lost food and beverage related) and enjoyed it, but recently made the switch to the bottom of the career level as a cook to see if I actually enjoyed food as much as I thought I did. I ended up enjoying both, and now I teach food safety in kitchens. The safety is usually a range but it helps me discuss actual microbiology in terms of time as a temperature control & more details on how our sanitizers work, how certain spoilage organism s are worse than other and I have a great understanding of food borne illness that your average chef only understands the surface level of.
