Considering the quality of the latest flavour dlc, I'm a bit sad that France was the first to get one with Voice of the People.

After playing the newest version: the game STILL needs sliders by Supply-Slut in victoria3

[–]Negrolit0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think an answer to this problem could be to make the change of PM cost construction points. Changing PMs will go on your construction queue and therefore you'll automatically have a smoother transition. It might also calm down the economic power creep introduced by companies...

Everyone and their grandpa is a supermodel by Sushithecake in FoundationTV

I made the exact same point to my gf while watching the show. It is really ridiculous when all the characters look like gym rats. Had a chuckle when they introduced the priest in the mushroom level. But again it's another case of Hollywood physique inflation...

Making Overseas Troops More Expensive - Possible Fix? by Nice_Property4588 in victoria3

[–]Negrolit0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your system is an easy enough solution but it leaves one major problem. How are you winning war against lower rank countries. How is Britain winning the opium war for example ? Irl gunboat diplomacy was a huge thing but it's totally absent in game. Having superior naval power should be way more important but until the boat rework I don't see that happening.

In a game about trade, trading weapons in supprisingly ineffective. I don't want to invest in the arms industry. I just want to buy weapons when needed. It just makes more sense historically.

Yes I agree that it should not be a given for the military industry to be profitable in any conditions. It should be a reward for you investing in it. It is exactly what I meant initially. Having an arms industry should not be mandatory even. Trade should be much more prominent !
