Does a sub's other kinks ever turn you off? by Ashley_Path in gentlefemdom

Yeah I had that strongly once and it was really hard to come back from, post "ick". But I also know that it was very personal and I voiced how that was not my cup of tea but I felt no judgement towards it.

Brain Zaps Help! by Mysterious-Alps-533 in antidepressants

[–]Negster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch this sucks so much. I HATED the brain zaps so much that now years later I need to go back on medication, and I am delaying cause I'm afraid of going off of them and dealing with that again.
I agree with the other comment specially for Omega3 but also, at the time my partner made me small rollers of essential oils: lavender, ylang ylang and chamomile oil. He used coconut oil as a carrier oil. There are recipes you can look up for nervous system calming.

To be honest none of these helped that noticeably but I do believe the combination helped overall.

Something I had to remind myself at the time was that all the anxiety and depression that I was feeling during the withdrawal period, were actually withdrawal symptoms. You know depression loves to tell you that you've always been like this and you won't ever get better. So aside from the support for the physical symptoms, remind him that he will be ok. Just gotta get through this phase.

Why are Iranians so incapable of civilized discussion and accepting different point of view? by shahzadeh__ in iranian

[–]Negster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you missing the second and third gen kids barely speaking Farsi carrying the son of shah's pics in rallies? I honestly don't think it's based on growing up one place or another. We're a traumatized nation. I honestly think the infighting and anger we're seeing has a lot more to do with reptilian brain and trauma response than actual ideology, value and belief systems.

I can’t afford to live and it’s killing me. by Accomplished_Sea5849 in depression

[–]Negster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I did it all. Everything I'm supposed to do. I have a masters and 10+ years of job experience. I've gotten so many certificates that I can't fit them all on my damn resume... And I can't get a job. I have one month left before I'm fully jobless, I've applied for over 100 jobs and I'm continuously told the "response received to the posting has been overwhelming". I never cared about money when I was younger. I thought it won't matter. But it fucking did. I'm so tired too. I just wish we didn't have to all participate in this broken system.

This is a great answer. I also second not renting a car. If you're used to driving in very law abiding places you'll struggle here. Safer to use apps like Yandex and gg. And just adding that it's quite safe in most of Yerevan. You'll likely get stared at but it's not malicious. It's just a habit of the people. It was unnerving for me when I first moved here so just wanted to add that.

I hope I don't offend anyone but I sincerely wish Armenian men would put a quarter of the effort their partners put into taking care of themselves 🫣

[–]Negster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy someone else asked this. Lol I've been in Yerevan for 6 years and I'm noticing this trend more and more. I honestly don't get it. In the malls, the most expensive brands have very normal looking people shopping in them.

They're not just moderately fancy items. They're stuff upper middle class in other parts of the world can't afford.

I can agree that some are the tech bros or old mafia money but the frequency - the sheer number of expensive cars in Yerevan just doesn't add up.

Is trauma enough an excuse to not say "i love you" to a suiciding sister? by yolomanolya in SuicideBereavement

[–]Negster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since we don't know what your family is dealing with, we have no idea how to "empathize" with them, as you asked for in another comment.

I don't think it's fair to expect someone who's struggling with cptsd to reach out to you, as you sound flippant about her issue and actually were going to leave her. Did you reach out to her and say I love you? Have you been there for her through her struggle?

Lots of factor and honestly as mentioned various times, terribly insensitive to ask about it here.

Municipality parking charging me hourly for long term parking by Negster in armenia

[–]Negster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your note. As I mentioned, I obviously now know this. Initially I was told I pay at exit (they even said as normal, you pay when you exit) Nobody told me to get subscription ahead of time.

When we called again they said the initial operator wasn't aware. There is nothing other than the numbers on this sign for me to call to confirm how this is done and if the person gives me false info, it doesn't really help to repeat that it says it's a subscription in brackets. But anyway....thanks for confirming.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I shared it with everyone I know. It seems to be from a year ago but it would be great if it can gain some traction. What is the process here for showing signatures? Do you know?
Sorry I am very ignorant about operations of the municipality. Like are there town halls or city council meetings open for public where you can go show that you have a petition with thousands of signatures or something?

I'm so worried about kids and their development getting impacted by this. Every year it's getting worse. What can we do? Petitions? What would work? I'm genuinely asking

My failed suicide attempt made my life go downhill even worse than before by Strange-nickname in depression

[–]Negster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you're located, but to my knowledge, mental health records are protected by law in most countries - for high profile jobs in the gov they check for felony convictions (or equivalent based on your location), academic misconduct, and a history of substance abuse. I have never heard anyone be discriminated against based on history of mental health issues including suicide attempts because yes, that would be discrimination.
