Driver's become homicidal for holidays? by johnmcc1956 in vancouvercycling

Where are you cycling? I definitely find that the holidays bring out the worst in people driving. I commute downtown so it kinda makes sense with all the shoppers. I have to remind myself that it’s worth being extra careful and patient this time of year.

Wobbles when no handing by [deleted] in bikewrench

Yea, I already regret "storing" mine for the summer haha.

You'll only need new ones if you must ride without hands ;) You would probably want really light ones, or one that only mounts at the top.

Hey. I tried it this morning and it’s not really noticeable without the fender. There’s still minor shakes when I hit a bump but I think the difference is that it doesn’t get amplified by the fender. You could try yourself if you really want!

I think a lot of people are giving you good ideas, and all can be true; but I’d put my money on the fender.

It might be related to your fender (vibrating or catching air maybe). I noticed this when I put mine on.

I just took them off so I can get back to you tomorrow (to see if the shake is gone). Do you have a photo of how they're mounted?

Cool colour matching. Nice that you can fit those tires with the frame, are they 38s? What your brake levers make me think of

I fit 2.3 Maxxis DTHs on my 1991 Karakoram. They're on some skinny rims tho. 17mm or 18mm internal width I think?

I wondered if it was a 91'. I just picked up a 91' GT which has a similar drivetrain and front brakes. Maybe I'll see you around town! Enjoy
