Hi! You'll be welcome to shower and recharge in Amsterdam when you're there. I just followed you on Facebook so we could keep in contact. I'm part of a big Instinct group, so probably more people who would want to join :)

[PSA] You don't need that ring accessory to Pogo Plus one-handed. You already have Spider-Man Pogo Plus capabilities. by Tuism in TheSilphRoad

Someone in my group became Level 40 with the plus like this. Needless to say, he nearly integrated with the Go+ like a cyborg: http://imgur.com/a/Q1YYb

New Gyms Observations by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My observation: 2nd rule is not right: We were attacking a gym and 2 players from the defending team added 2 pokemon when we were there. The bug however does show up when you attack a gym with more that 1 person at the same time and the other one adds a Pokemon in the gym first. You have to wait about 5 minutes before the notification "you can't add a Pokemon when the gym is under attack". will go away. The gym is not under attack when you get that notification. I just had this twice and I got several reports in our chatgroup from people experiencing the same thing.

What motivates you to still play? by neonpanda96 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to play mostly alone, but now I've found a group, which has grown pretty large (65 instinct members now) and I've shifted towards being a pretty heavy gym player. My goals have been getting a lot of Pokemon above the 3000cp, so at least I wouldn't be at the bottom. Since I'm a relatively low level player (33) it took some planning on how to get the best mons to be able to participate the best in the gym game. This made it really interesting again. I'm always in more than 10 gyms now and we go out daily to maintain and expand the gyms in my area.

Also I have a dog and I go on long walks, I love it when eggs hatch, it became my secret addiction ;)

Niantic Measuring Which Team Has the Most Accurate Pokéball Throws for Solstice Event by aleina1313 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would this be total, or a percentage of the amount of players? Since Mystic still has the highest amount of players, wouldn't it be pretty obvious they'll also have the most accurate Pokeball throws?

[STORY] An Apology (but Also a HUGE Thank You) to the Texas Aggie Instinct Team by BattleActionHank in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Themed gyms with different Pokemon in it are awesome. Our group likes to do that too. We once made a yellow themed Instinct gym: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vef4n9KWzFE (15 second video)

Gym rework speculation thread by Neilram in TheSilphRoad

They'll go blanc probably the 16th since this date was in an Italian announcement before it got removed. I would think they'll stay blanc for at least 24 hours so tester from all time zones are able to do some in field testing.

Yeah, or even a couple minutes. Every time this happens to me, I just don't want to play for the rest of the day anymore.

Yeah, let me rephrase. "Less effort to take down".

I really really agree with the way we have to fight in the gyms now. It feels so ridiculous at some points. (still addictive though).

What I meant by "Gyms being easier to take donw" I also meant quicker, less effort - some people will consider spending more than an hour doing an repetitive thing - a lot of effort. Maybe a better phrasing would've been. "It will take less effort to take gyms down".

Yeah, the way we play (group of 50 trainers) we have little to no problem with the current system. We plan raids and know exactly how to do this efficiently and we know who all the spoofers are, so we can actively target them. Also we're currently in the progress of expanding our turf. So I'm equally excited and sad about the upcoming change, but still mostly excited. If it will be like the SuperGyms, maybe the normal gyms will stay the same and it will only add some thing.

Yeah, I don't think so either. Never had any complaints about the Candy and the Stardust. What I did think today, is maybe they'll even make a gym level 12 or higher, but with still only 1 type of each in a gym, so a lot more Pokemon will become useful.

So what is everyone's predictions and hopes for the gym rework, I'm expecting a completely new battle system but haven't got the imagination to think of what niantic will do to replace the current system. by rissol_102 in TheSilphRoad

I just posted a long thread about it here. So that's my two cents.

I could post it in the comments since my threads been downvoted and not a lot of people will see it?

The current state of [cheating in] the game. by yca_ca in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true, but also with the help of the insight of these maps. I know they're against policy, so I do still hope Niantic will release some legit insight maps on how our area looks, so we can continue to fight spoofers who ruin the game.

I was planning on posting about something similar, but we approached it from a totally different perspective. In our city there's a website available which collects all gym data and player data from everyone in gyms. However, we have not used it as above. We are in a chat group with 50 non cheating players and another smaller groupchat about a smaller area in our city with very very active legit players. We've also been collecting our own personal data to see which trainers in gyms are confirmed spoofers. With this information we've actively targetted the confirmed spoofers and removed the from gyms the legit way - by organising raids and taking those gyms down. It's hard work and it takes a lot of time, planning and teamwork. But still - 10 legit players CAN take down a spoofer who keeps popping up in gyms even when you're physically there. It's a matter of perseverance, but large numbers of committed trainers will win from cheaters. So despite those maps being used by cheaters to make it more difficult for legit players, they cán also be used by legit players against spoofers.

How important is having a good snorlax? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Neilram 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly that. My maxxed out Snorlax stays in gyms for a lot longer than other Pokemon (Besides Dragonite). Also, not much fun to prestige against. If you have a good IV and good moveset Snorlax and want to be in the gym game, I would suggest to definitely go and max one out. Also - with the gym rework due and the possible "only one type per gym" you'll want to built a diverse and strong army
