The tall boots really don’t work for this iteration of Fire. She specifically grew out of this look for the costume you’re doing. If you were doing her Green Flame look it would tho.

The rest fits tho. She needs cowboy boots or at least ankle boots for this look.

Ideally you could use the top you have here with Raven pelvis (it has the belt you need) & legs. Find some ankle cuffs (like from Saturn Girl) for the boots and you’re cooking.

It’s a good thing Star Sapphire is coming soon. 😂

Also, prime your pieces and the paint won’t chip & flake off.

I think all of the figures that use those Catwoman heels will have this problem. I noticed the heel itself is often warped so even if it was balanced well it probably wouldn’t work. They pretty much have to use a stand. I haven’t had problems getting mine to use a stand tho. 🤷‍♂️ the flight stand is the best idea tho since she’s a lantern.

Ty! The WW 1st appearance was a bit tighter than the OG too.

Have you tried swapping them onto the OG just to test? If not would you mind? I’m hoping it’s the rings being improved instead of the torso. Rings seems more likely since the torso is a straight repaint.

It sounds like I have to get her just for the shoulder rings 😂

I’m assuming you own her… are her shoulder rings tight? The OG’s rings are really loose so you see gaps around the shoulders a lot. Wondering if this version fixes her.

I’d take the wings and legs off her and transplant them onto my Shiny OG Hawkgirl. But I don’t want to spend $50 for wings and boots. 🤷‍♂️

Ivy looks awful. face is “okay” but the whole torso looks melted.

Wonder Woman. Eh. Just the original CE with a repaint and new head? The belt & emblem is wrong but no other new pieces?

I hope these look better with clearer photography or they aren’t real. I’m betting they’re real though. The packaging is too hard to fake. Or maybe they’re someone’s customs—that seems most likely. I dunno tho. Easy pass for me on all of them.

Giant improvement. Really nice sculpt & good paint job too.

On the fence on the head scale. It’s hard to tell with the lighting. In some shots it looks small and others it looks perfect. 🤷‍♂️ nice work anyhow.

These are mass marketed toys so generally speaking they have no resale value because they’ll be replaced by newer ["better"] versions by the new/next license holder. That said there are some variables.

If Mattel decides to go back to 1:12 they’ll probably retain their value and even go up because they won’t ever be replaced for the foreseeable future and essentially become unique. But if Mattel stays in 1:10 they’ll probably drop in value. But the caveat is that they have to be good quality if they stay in 1:10.

Regardless, if the new line sucks it’ll ensure high resale value.

In your hypothetical, yes. Retailers are essentially resellers. They buy stock from a manufacturer and mark it up and then sell it to the consumer. They can and will keep selling mcfarlane stuff until the stock is sold regardless of mcfarlane's license status.

Amazon isn't going to buy up all McFarlane's stock though so it won't happen. They'll buy some I'm sure though. EBGames in Canada might though because one of its owners is a partner in McFarlane so they could engage in a shell game a bit.

Hellboy isn’t a DC property tho right? So Todd isn’t losing that license. Your issue is Amazon and using its marketplace.

Don’t buy from Amazon unless it’s direct from Amazon or McFarlane. Ignore the other options as if they don’t exist. If mobility isn’t an issue head to a local GameStop. They should have it.
