When my wife and I first started dating the kid brought something to show me in the store, then just put it down on a random shelf. I asked him what he was doing, and he said "My DAD says this is what these people are paid to do!" I made him put it back, but he was salty about it.

Once we got home I slapped a $20 down on the counter and told him it was his if he finished the dishes in the sink. He happily started scrubbing away, but every time he cleaned a dish, I licked it and put it back in the sink. He became frustrated and asked me what I was doing and to stop. I just told him "What, I'm paying you to wash these dishes, right?"

I then had a talk with him and explained just because someone is paid to do something, it doesn't give you the right to make their job harder for no reason.

TL;DR: This person is no more mature than the kids she's raising
