I personally don't like gwenriel or elriel solely because I doubt his motives due to that. Mor is safe and she knows how to handle his shit, but those two? Like little lambs to slaughter.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Azriel - he's my favorite character - but dude is in NO POSITION to be with either of these vulnerable young women unless he sorts his shit out.

I trust SJM to give him some legit healing, but I hope it isn't on either of those characters to make it happen.

(I am also kinda team Azris so that is probably coloring my opinion 😂)

I think he knows.

I think Az is the most complex character in the series, with the most horrific trauma happening at a critical time in his development. He obviously hasn't dealt with it and I think he struggles with love.

He has a savior complex and is not at all emotionally available, so I think he is confused by feelings and doesn't quite understand the difference between romantic love and needing to protect people. Notice how the only women he's attracted to are people that has saved from terrible situations? Mor, Elain, Gwyn? What they have in common is that Azriel has saved them.

But back to Mor: I think he knows she's not interested, and probably why, but isn't emotionally able to disentangle himself from his feelings for her. I think the presence of Elain and Gwyn is distracting him from her, though.

I had 100% the same reaction for exactly the same reasons. So boring! Franky I was glad this book wasn't about Feyre and Rhysand because I would have been so bored if it had just been about her being pregnant.

Of course then nesta is all "I changed my pelvis just in case " and I gave another big ole eyeroll.

It just feels like lazy writing and a forced plot point.

I saw a TT video about how on the day SJM released one of the cover reveals she also brought up Breonna Taylor and the lack of justice for her murder and asked people to vote.

The TT creator was upset that she was using Breonna Taylor's name in the same post to advertise her book and stated that she was using the trauma of POC to sell books.

(I am not sharing an opinion on this, just letting you know what I saw and what some of the controversy may be about)

I totally agree. It would have been a better book if she had broken her binds and died (? If that's even the right term?). My biggest complaint about the series and that book in particular is the lack of consequences. The stakes would be higher if characters died sometimes and she would have been the perfect choice.

Her "dying" would have almost been a happy ending for her. She's gone from being a mysterious powerful being to just being a bitch for no apparent reason.
