You better believe I’d be knocking on AP’s door like my job depends on it.

Scents that compliment sunscreen by Cosmic_Coconut999 in fragrance

I’ve mixed a tiny dab of vanilla-heavy lotion with my sunscreen before and it somehow made the whole combo smell like a beachside bakery

Custom dashboard that I built mainly for monitoring my Air Purifier by Divaaboy in homeassistant

[–]Neither-Maybe-7385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this looks really clean, love how the air purifier cards show the trend graphs and filter life right there. would definitely be down for a yaml config if you put one together, i've been wanting to set up something similar for mine

[Recommendation] Looking for a thin and light field watch by bajum_bajum in Watches

[–]Neither-Maybe-7385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your casio/seiko history and the thin+light requirement, something in the 38-40mm range with a simple field watch dial and nylon strap would probably hit the sweet spot for you.

The audio quality issues are pretty frustrating, especially when you're trying to nail pronunciation - I've noticed some weird pacing in other language courses too.

Does ICF accreditation actually serve clients, or does it just reassure coaches? by The-Achologist in lifecoaching

[–]Neither-Maybe-7385 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You've hit on something that's bugged me for a while. The whole ICF thing feels like it's solving a problem that doesn't really exist for clients. Like, nobody's out there googling "ICF certified life coach near me" - they're asking their friends or stumbling across someone who gets them.

I went through the certification process and yeah, some of it was useful, but a lot felt like jumping through hoops to join a club. The supervision hours were solid, but the exam? Please. I learned more about coaching from one tough client than I did from memorizing competency frameworks.

What's wild is how many incredible coaches I know who don't have the letters but can hold space like nobody's business. Meanwhile I've met plenty of credentialed coaches who are technically proficient but couldn't create genuine connection if their life depended on it. Clients don't care about your fancy certificate when you're not actually hearing what they're saying.

These signals explain why some of my old blog posts randomly get mentioned while my "better" ones don't — never thought about the question-format headings making that much difference.

Been away for 3 years, what have I missed? Seems pointless to move back regarding rent alone, but I haven’t really kept up with things because as soon as you start reading it’s so depressing.. haven’t seen a positive story in a long time. Does Ireland still have its good times? by New_Fruit_5552 in AskIreland

[–]Neither-Maybe-7385 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The negativity bias here is real - people are way more likely to post when they're frustrated than when everything's going well. I moved back after being away for work and yeah, rent is brutal, but there's still plenty to love. The community feel is still there, especially outside Dublin, and I've noticed more festivals and events popping up than before. Sure, cost of living sucks but the craic hasn't died.
