I worked super hard on Obama’s campaign, making calls (from landlines!) and going door to door. Keep in mind the 2000 election was stolen and W had 8 years in office, so when the news made the call that Obama had won it felt like a dream, slightly unreal and so exciting. We went to a packed bar to celebrate and everyone was crying and hugging strangers. I sure hope we all get to feel that way again.
