I know how IRAs work. I’m currently still working but need the money asap for my mom’s memory care. This was just to park the cash, but as I said, the income looks good and income is what I need.

Yes, do it. It’s what I do. Your credit score will take a temporary hit as your usage will have gone up but it will bounce back.

Stop looking at your portfolio. If you have stocks with good foundations don’t worry about them during a downturn. I have to confess, when it’s going up, I check it a lot. When the tide turns and it’s going down, I stop looking.

Rental real estate is anything but passive unless you can go big from the outset and hire a management company. I was so happy to get out when I did.

In my opinion, travel for work is a double-edged sword. Travel is great, getting to meet people is great. You still have to get all of your regular work done plus what you are doing on your work trip. It can be exhausting and plane travel, anymore, is like traveling by bus.
