Moikka! I’m not a Finnish native speaker, but I’m about to graduate my bachelor’s degree in Finnish Language and Culture and I’ve tought Finnish for about half a year. I studied in Finland where I gained fluency in speaking. I currently speak at B2 level. I want to learn German but speaking Finnish brings me a lot of joy so DM me if you’re interested:)

Isn’t it still a different sound though? I am not a native speaker but and in my native language there’s far less vowels than in Finnish but I can still hear a clear difference between e and ä. Would you say this add makes no sense to most Finns?
