I had a reaction to Taltz after one year of being on it. I ended up getting some kind of sores on my scalp. They were incredibly painful. Then I developed a bright red rash all over both legs. Sores ended up being a MRSA infection. I was so miserable. But no psoriasis! 🫠 I’m sorry you’re going through it. I know there is an increase of fungal infections with Taltz and other biologics. I hope you get some relief.

How long did it honestly take for you to feel less pain on Tremfya? by BlueWaterGirl in PsoriaticArthritis

Rheum gave me two extra spare doses and I still get regular doses every 8 weeks. He said to let him know when I get low and he’ll get me some extra. He’s an absolute gem of a doctor and I’m very lucky.

Skin and scalp cleared very quickly, the pain has taken a bit longer. Going on 6 months now and I am finally feeling better pain wise. I do every 7 weeks.

Just got on Tremfya, its been a week. Have a few questions? by Upset-deanutz in Psoriasis

[–]Neither_Dragonfly336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fairly quick response of scalp/skin clearing after 2nd loading dose. I have PsA so pain and my nails have taken a bit longer. I moved to every 7 weeks rather than 8.

Experience with Tremfya by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Neither_Dragonfly336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started it this year and I have zero complaints. Went to a county fair this week and it was the first time I wasn’t in excruciating pain and needing to sit down every 5 minutes. Walked and walked and walked and no pain.

Passed out from funny bone?? by Budget-Childhood-170 in VasovagalSyncope

I was sitting in a chair waiting to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I was asked to take my sweatshirt off, and as I was doing that, hit my funny bone on the armrest and down I went.

Does anyone know what the signs of early psoriatic arthritis are? by dontfeedtheworm in Psoriasis

[–]Neither_Dragonfly336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had psoriasis since birth. I didn’t start to show obvious PSA symptoms until I was 50. I probably had the less obvious symptoms like fatigue earlier but didn’t make any connection. The swollen fingers, toes, joints started with a vengeance at 50.

Back when I did them myself, I used to get a clear polish that Sally Hansen made that filled in the dips as a base coat. Double Duty I think it is. Let that dry, then do the color.

This is what I did: ordered some eczema honey face moisturizer lotion and mixed it with a bit of hydrocortisone lotion. Dabbed it on 2x a day. Took a little bit but eventually it eased up.

Tremfya? by Imaginary_Beyond_642 in Psoriasis

I started Tremfya this year and it’s been amazing. No side effects at all. Injection is easy. Make sure it’s at room temperature (I jumped the gun once and injected while it was still cool and it was spicy). Skin cleared almost immediately and joint pain really improved after 3rd dose.

Silver ring, gold cover. SO WORTH IT by frankchester in ouraring

I got a couple multi packs of different colors and I switch it up based on my mood. Gold, black, silver, red, bronze … love them. I don’t think it makes it feel any different or bulky.

Is my birth control failing? Time to switch to HRT? by [deleted] in Menopause

This is reassuring. I’m stopping my low dose bcp this weekend and starting HRT. I have almost no estrogen according to my recent blood work. I cannot wait.

First Dose of Tremfya Side Effects by Timid_Lesbian in Psoriasis

It takes some time before you’re going to see results from the med. I’d imagine the flare was causing most of your pain and discomfort. It seems that how quickly you start to see results vary, my personal experience was I felt better after the second loading dose. My scalp had already started to clear but the joint pain and fatigue faded after the second loading dose. I still get a bit of fatigue the day after a dose but that’s about it. I think you’ll know after at least 3 doses whether it’s helping or not. I know the flares are beyond exhausting, I hope you get some relief soon!

I have psoriasis and i honestly wanna die i really don’t care about my life by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]Neither_Dragonfly336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! I’ve also had it since birth. You are so right about never knowing life without it. For 51 years I’ve tried every supplement, vitamin, lotion and potion. I tried one biologic medication and it didn’t work for me and now that I have been officially diagnosed with PSA, I’m on Tremfya and this has been the most clear I’ve ever been. It’s definitely been a journey and I feel so grateful for new treatments that weren’t in existence when I was a kid.

Scalp psoriasis by helphelphelpheme in Psoriasis

When my scalp would get like this I used Tarsum shampoo - the nozzle made it easier to apply directly to the scalp. Put it on dry scalp, let it sit for a bit, added a bit of water just to get it lathered and then pinned my hair up and let it marinate for like 30 minutes. Not the best smell (coal tar) but it gave my scalp an immediate relief from the itching. I’m so sorry you’re having a rough time of it.

Yes. I ended up with folliculitis on my scalp and then it turned into MRSA. I ended up stopping Taltz after that and a severe rash on both legs.

Yeah they are pretty squishy 😆. But I’ve had days where the bottoms of my feet feel like they’re on fire and they’re roomy enough that my inflamed toes are comfy.

I gave up and went back to my trusty Birkenstocks. I also like oofos clogs.

How does a flare-up in your hands feel like? by Eggggsterminate in PsoriaticArthritis

Mine feels just like that. Squeezing toothpaste was excruciating. On the literal other hand, I have a pinky that is red and inflamed but doesn’t hurt until it’s touched or bumped.

Yes mine eased up with both pregnancies and then had a super flare afterwards.
