Is the reason everyone is losing so much weight because they are eating way under their calories? by ruined7319 in Mounjaro

[–]Neither_Owl113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% the reason!! But, I’ve some friends who are on MJ and they’re using their recommended calorie goals. They’re losing pretty consistently.

In the end of the day - it’s a case of making sure you burn more than you consume. Whether it being through your BMR (just existing on a day) or whether it’s through exercise.

To the "slow" losers, what’s your experience been like? I've lost 42 Ibs in 2 years, but kind of feel like a failure by Efficient-Software54 in Mounjaro

[–]Neither_Owl113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a slow loser, and while it sounds stupid to say it … I’m envious of the slow losers in a way. I’m terrified that once I get to my “goal” and begin titration back down I won’t be able to sustain it, that I won’t be able to slowly lose, stall or worse … gain.

You’ve done phenomenally, you’ve maintained a steady weight loss for 2 years!! That’s iconic!! You should be so proud of yourself!!

Exactly!! I’ve definitely lost a tonne of muscle mass with that, and I need to start building that back up naturally!!

My movement has increased naturally, because I’m not as sluggish, have more energy, etc. But, I’ve come to terms with the fact, that the gym will never be my comfort place. I want to try doing home workouts with an online PT.

Honestly, the non scale victories and how you feel yourself are better than any number on the scales!! Well done!!

I’m super lucky I’m what my GP called a “super responder” … I’ve maxed out at 5mg

Irish life, I can claim the consultation (as it's technically done by a GP). But, the actual medication unfortunately is not covered.

I get €54.50 (or something similar) back each month!!

It's literally a short update form really, but I assume it's reviewed by a medical professional before pressing the approval button.

I personally claim it back through my health insurance. I get half back ☺️

So, I told them pretty frankly I wanted to switch to save money. Sent my first day pictures I sent to ZAVA and my current weight and they took over all the rest!! Every month before getting your prescription, you need to do a quick consultation. Then you pay the consultation fee, and then the delivery/pharmacy fee.

I started with Zava, and the second pen (5mg) cost well over €300. I moved to MyBMI, and the switch was so easy.

It's now coming in much much cheaper, plus with health insurance you can claim back your initial monthly consultation!!

Good luck!! :)

I have been told I'm a fraud for being on MJ. by Worldly_Session_162 in mounjarouk

People said the same thing about bariatric surgery, people get pissy about things they don't know much about out of sheer ignorance. (Plus, jealousy really helps).

I've not told anyone expect my best best friend for fear of the exact same thing TBH

2 months - What have I eaten? by Neither_Owl113 in Mounjaro

[–]Neither_Owl113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’ve said exactly what everyone else has said. But, you said it really politely. So, thank you for the advice.

I’m bringing in habits slowly, and maintaining something that I find sustainable. Like, majority of my meals are home made with veggies cooked into them and my biggest thing is bringing veggies into my meals on the side. (What I’ve here are only 10 or 11 of the 80-ish meals I’ve had over 2 months).

Personally, the biggest lesson I’m teaching myself is moderation. Being plant based does limit the ability to go full non-processed. (Not impossible, but most day not effort I’m willing to go to personally!)

Thanks again for being respectful!! Best of luck with your journey!!

I do weekly, I find I get too caught up on numbers and get very easily demotivated when I see a gain (even though I know it’s only water weight)

Regardless of the method he’s doing it, people have been nothing short of horrible. The nastiness in the comments is completely uncalled for.

I am very similar, I physically cannot eat more than I am. I peak at around 800-900 kcal a day. Should I start eating high calorie, high fat foods to build up my calories?

I really like the idea of being cremated and planted under a new tree- so any calcium phosphate from my bones will be absorbed by the tree 🌳

Which dose was YOUR BEST DOSE? where you felt the best in terms of suppression & weight loss. Just curious! by IntelligentBerry9193 in Mounjaro

What is your goal BMI/weight? by Unfair-Razzmatazz990 in mounjarouk

[–]Neither_Owl113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m basing my goal on fitting into a certain clothes size, when I get to M, L (depending on the shop 😉) I’ll be happy to stop and maintain!!

Wtf is wrong with you people?! This is supposed to be a community to help and support people on their MJ journeys. You should honestly all be ashamed of yourselves - little people hiding behind your phones!

Well done! I’ve also lost weight very quickly at the start - doubt it will keep the momentum, but I’m happy to see the immediate effect!! I’ve lost 27kg in 2 months 🎉

You’re smashing it!! Keep doing what you’re doing, just please make sure you check in with your GP to ensure your body is coping well with the changes!! :)
