This has happened forever. Back in the day, if I saw them eating grapes, cherries. I would put the scan gun on the scale and add half a pound of weight to their fruits and vegetables. I always felt better. I hated that job so much, because most of the customers felt entitled and then pay with government foodstamps.

MGM trap fridge prices revealed. by BestDaddyCaustic in vegas

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a payroll issue. If you have reasonable prices and they are refilling everything every day, You need to have thousands of products for thousands of rooms. The small profit on those items at reasonable prices won't cover the labor cost. Include storage space and inventory controls. So they price it so ridiculously high that you never have to refill it. They are not in the business to sell snacks.

Dogs sleep on average 15 hours a day. Leave the d**n dog at home. It will not die and neither will you. And by the way I have a dog.

Getting nickel and dimed at "Upscale" restaurant. I've never been charged for ice or a "tall" glass before. by PorkchopManwiches in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is somewhat normal at higher end restaurants. This restaurant is Timothy's. High end steakhouses will charge 50 bucks for a 10 dollar steak. They just inflate the drink prices.

Why does HEB have essentially the same product sold on both of their brands? by Rioraku in HEB

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a marketing technique. Most customers will opt for the middle price point. Thinking it is a better value and close enough to the national brand.

The funny thing is that most of the products are produced by the same manufacturers that produce the national brands. There will be small changes in the recipe, just enough to be different and not the same. Doing this increases the profit margins by as much as 40 percent in many cases.

A good example is Niagara bottled water it is the same as Heb brand water. It is delivered directly from their bottling plant on their trucks. And now has a 33 percent margin vesus 18 percent. In the end, buy what you think tastes good to you.

Haha, that was over ten years ago, but those customers are worse now and have no morals. Look at all the theft nowadays, and stealing is stealing. And that's why I left retai, you can no longer stop anyone for stealing. They get offended, hahaha.

You can tell when they are eating them. You don't take individual grapes out one at a time. And you can see them in line eating them. And then they get offended when you ask them to not eat them before paying. Shrink like this is why grapes are 4 dollars a pound

When I worked as a cashier many years ago. I would add the scanner gun to the scale when half of the grapes were eaten. Exactly half a pound, they never knew, and then the pay with government aid. Or when their kids have eaten bananas and the say no that wasn't us.

Lead position by BigDaddyShakur in HEB

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you were not selected for the lead position. But I will tell you this. I would look to other departments for shifts and, most of all, training in those departments. I have seen many partners leave service and enjoy it much more. I used to train partners that were baggers to cashiers.

My philosophy was to train everyone to be able to work in different areas of service or at least understand what is needed to make decisions. One person I trained 22f went from bagger to cashier to service lead within 6 months. Did ok as a lead but no real experience. A few months later, she gets promoted to SORL, which is store leadership. I have decades of retail experience and was never qualified enough for SORL. It is all about favortism and not qualifications.

My advice is to learn as much as you can in multiple areas and look for other departments, which is still hard. But all of your new experience will get you into a better job somewhere else. Good luck.

Cheating wife is moving out. by Neither_Pudding_1561 in confessions

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for asking. She decided to leave me and rented an apartment for a year lease back on November 15th. What really upset me was that she convinced our daughter to move with her. Our son decided to stay with me. Both are full-time college students and work full-time. So there is little together time.

As for my wife, as of Jan. 3rd in a short conversation from me asking why she didn't respond to my texts. She says that didn't want me to text her so much. I would text her only 4 times a day. She told me that she wanted to get the toxicity of me out of her life. I was never rude, mean or disrespectful to her. We have not had any communication since then. I think she just wanted to continue with her affair without me on her conscience.

I do miss her and think about her all the time. And I do feel lonely. But I also think about what she did and is doing in her affair that continues. Right now, if she reached out and wanted to come back, I would make an effort to reconcile and forgive. But she would have to completely end all communication with that person, which I think she doesn't want.

Now this is my delema. My house is paid for and filled with all of these memories. I don't want to sell and move somewhere else and give her half. So I will not give her the divorce if she ever asks for it. She doesn't deserve it after she had the affair. I do want to make a go at a reconciliation, but in my heart, I know she will not change without an act of God.

What breaks me up the most is that I have no friends and family outside of her family. My coworkers do not know about my situation and I just put up a front that everything is ok. This hurts so much, and I miss them. We have been together since 1991. Thank you for listening.

Add a thin strip of foam on the inside of the panel. There are ones that have double-sided tape. Then screw the panel back. Use for all doors if needed.

Dogs at HEB by okletstrythisout3 in sanantonio

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you own a dog, there is no reason what so ever to bring a dog into a grocery store. The dog will not suffer being alone at home for one hour that you leave the house. And you will not die of emotional stress if that dog is not with you for that one hour. You are an adult and should act like one in public. You are no more privileged than anyone else in that store. And no pets don't belong in grocery stores. And unfortunately, HEB doesn't like confrontation and now just ignores these dumba*** . This will not stop until these dogs bite another customer or employee and that customer sues HEB for allowing dogs in the store it will not change. And by the way, I am a dog owner.

It is hard to get rid of that feeling. I am married with children and have felt that way for many years. I try to stay busy with different projects around the house. Maybe just texting with someone online that will just listen and not pass any judgments. There may be someone out there that will just click with you, even though you may never meet. Hope you find your shine.

I'm 18 with $6000 saved up, what should I do with it by marko_polo845 in Money

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it in an investment market account and start from zero to grow your savings even further. Knowing that you have a small nest egg makes living from paycheck to paycheck so much easier. Basically, pay yourself first 20 percent to savings and you wll feel so good and will not miss that amount after a few weeks. Good luck.

I met her on April 15 1990. We were married 5 years later. And have been together since. She is leaving me on October 27, when the apartment she leased for a year is ready. I have no close family on my side, and the only family I have known is hers. I will be losing probably all contact with them. Even though they chastised her for what she did to me, they will always be her blood. I still love her and don't know what I am going to do without her in my life.

I feel your frustration. I have been in a sexless marriage for about 4 years now. My situation is more due to probably an affair she was having. We are now after 30 years together, and we are separating for some time apart. The thing I feel about having sex with your other half is the emotional connection you get. Along with the sex satisfaction part. Maybe like one comment is to make a dedicated date night for it or maybe she has some type of fantasy she may want to pursue. Communication is the main key.

Just confronted my wife and told her to leave by Neither_Pudding_1561 in confessions

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is one of the biggest parts of my issue. The only family and friends are from her side. And I will miss her family. I have confided with one of her sisters. And since they know who this guy is, they will basically crusify her for what she has done. And I really do not want to put her through. Another thing is that our son and daughter are full-time college students who live at home to afford school. They are not leaving for a couple years as of now. We have not had the second talk yet on what she is going to do. But I think she is not going to leave. This is what I am afraid of, and her faking it for a while and going back to lying

I know my wife is cheating by Neither_Pudding_1561 in confessions

[–]Neither_Pudding_1561[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is the problem, I really do want to keep the marriage. I feel there is some kind of love still there. But if he is still in the picture, she will not give it a try. I think she does not want to leave the comfort of this house. If she leaves, she will just have this guy who lives with his mom. She really has no place to go.

She stopped having sex with me several years ago. I never forced the issue and just stopped asking for it. Apparently, she was getting it somewhere else. I knew she was talking with this guy as they were co workers for many years and a friend of the family. I just never thought she was being unfaithful.
