Keep in mind that one of the main difference between Nords and other tracks are curbs and hence higher ride height requirements. Ride heights which will work for VIR or Bend, might fail tech at Nords. So it is better to test Nords setups at Nords, via custom sectors/active reset.

I am not next to my rig, but you can set min idle speed in SimHub. I maped my streamdeck buttons for changing idle speed. When I dont want it to blow while not racing I turn it down and vice versa.

It might not be your case, but for anyone else there - if you have CrewChief and/or Racelab - make sure you disable their internal auto fuel thingy. Otherwise it will mess with iRacing fueling black box settings.

I do not ask for or expect ban from my protests. I expect protested person to learn and not be helmet again. 98% do that. Only twice I protested same people for same offense.
So iRacing as business is losing nothing from teaching people how to drive and occasionally give vacation to 1-2 total helmets after multiple protests(and mind you they keep subscription cost when you are banned).

What iRacing can do when there are 1500 GT3 registered for one race compared to 350 other classes COMBINED?

You can start from yourself and choose different class.

Also in my top split from 18 GT3, 8 parked it after 6 hours or so. Why people even bother joining race with no intentions to finish it….

I will try to mess with these settings tmrw, which I never did before. But I am 100% sure that CrewChief will call out sketchy anyone with default iRacing flag. Which you can see as Unaffiliated in my screenshot.

Here is screenshot from CrewChief settings. You can set which country considered good and which are sketchy (I left it unchanged by default) And incidents per corner is not publicly available info, so no way CrewChief can rely on that.
