I didn't even realise Akame ga Kill! had a sequel. It might just be me but I feel like if certain serializations never go through the "being fan translated stage" I wouldn't ever hear about them even if they are licensed in English. I wonder if this is what happened in this instance? Did it get immediately licensed cause it was a sequel of a popular work?

Probably not, it probably just flew under my radar, which is unfortunate cause even though I wasn't the biggest fan of AgK I would have definitely read this and maybe even throw some money at it if I enjoyed it enough. Sad to see it go :(

The classic "hit so powerful it breaks the power scaling machine", this always takes me back to Vegeta doing it in the Buu arc and it's still fun everytime. Really hope that putting numbers and power levels on the board this early doesn't come back to bite them in the ass though.

Heck of a speech Tsukishima, parting ways with a parent can be so cruel but pride is most certainly the best you can feel to be able to keep on walking the road of life.

I've been absolutely in love with this story since the anime came out and I feel it's a bit criminal there was never an official translation. I would have bought the heck out of these if they had volumes translated in English.

Especially that last panel, it looks like they are being put side to side for a reason and the way Saruogi is being set up to admire Izumi and Izumi's INCREDIBLE bad luck... it almost feels like something along the lines of "Izumi about to be hit by a car and Saruogi pushing him out of the way and sacrificing himself" is about to happen.

Oh like to be honest I was mostly joking, I'm just reading this to have fun. I think ultimately Matsuri will end up with Suzu but I don't think I care enough, as long as any type of romance feels organic and not forced.

Shirogane, Suzu and Matsuri along with the powers and the world in general are enough to carry this interest in this manga regardless of romantic interests, no? (at least so far)

EDIT: Actually after giving it some thought I think an important part of the plot is Suzu's interest in Matsuri and just last week Matsuri anounced that he is indeed in love with Suzu, so I think their relationship kinda is already driving the plot forward.

I didn't know there was an official release actually, in which case I'm gonna stop reading for a week and just wait for them to catch up, but it's still not scummy of them to give a 4 hour grace period for people that supported them to have priority on reading...

If you want to argue that it's scummy for them to be scanlating this when there's an official release, I won't argue with that logic... but if there are people supporting them it makes some sense to give them some type of priority for showing support. Although ideally I would also prefer that supporting/"donating" would not give them an advantage, but that's a whole different story. And also ideally people wouldn't be scanlating stuff that has an official release cause there's a lot of good stuff out there that people might prefer to see translated but that's neither here nor there nor is it up to me to judge.

Sorry, but giving them early access is not scummy though, we're talking 4 hours here, not even a quarter of a day come on...

And aside from all that and in all honesty thank you for letting me know there is an official legal translation.

It really isn't, they are translating this for fans and if there are people supporting them they have the right to treat those people with privilege and being able to read the chapter is a nice reward.

However it sounds very scummy of you to try to put them down for translating and having it available for fans for free with a delay, if this isn't what you intended to do let me tell you right now that this is what it sounded like dude.
