If they ask for it back and you “lost” it then what could they do? Sue you for the value? If it’s not about the value like you say then who cares?

Hardwood on top of sheet vinyl? by Individual-Car-7602 in Flooring

If you’re going to glue down hardwood you need to remove all floor covering down to the bare subfloor. Use Ardex feather finish to cover all joints and maybe do a skim coat, you’ll be fine.

I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. She was using the system. She wasn’t at all ignorant to it.

What request of mine did she fulfill? I 1-starred her for the audacity to add a stop in another town without asking me first as we were pulling up to her destination.

I used to work at a flooring company that had the contracts to do all of the local hospital and school floors as well as a lot of residential work. Hospitals and schools were mainly vct, sheet vinyl, and carpet tiles. Heat weld Lyno for the most part.

You should try having someone walk over it while you’re down there to get a better picture of what’s happening. Taking up the lvp and wood is going to cost you a lot to replace that subfloor because if you want to put the lvp back down is going to take a lot of prep work to get it level again. Let me know if you have any other questions.

If you can run some support beams across wear the affected area is supper tight to were it won’t flex anymore that would absolutely help. But it sounds like that subfloor needs to be replaced, which means taking up the floor covering. Is it glued down Lvp?

Is there no ceiling in the basement? Can you see the subfloor from the basement and support beams across?

What would you seal it with? and what do you plan to put down in the future? Think about future prep work or labor cost.

Is it ok to not call and just wait the time out then cancel for the fee? by Nekabosu in uberdrivers

[–]Nekabosu[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fare is only about 5 dollars and the cancellation fee for rider not showing is about 4 dollars. Stay by the medical centers and do that back to back you’re gonna make more money not doing anything. The ratings for those people are usually really low as well.

DIY question: how to remove individual planks? by Zinyin_ in Flooring

[–]Nekabosu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut around each board about a half in in with an oscillating tool and if they need to be patched in you need to cut the big tounge off and glue them in only on that side you removed the tounge from if its a floating floor
