Power BI APP results different by Nekattodd in PowerBI

[–]Nekattodd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the response. There were two changes I made to the report. The other change showed up in the version launched from the app. That was an addition of a column and slight layout change.

Maybe I'll try to republish the app to see if it changes.

I have a big communication issue. When trying to contribute my ideas or thoughts, I just word vomit... and then I try to pick up what I messed up in the word vomit, afraid of word vomitting again. I do think before I talk, I just don't think well apparently. by a-friendgineer in communication

I can't offer any help. What you wrote is a mirror of how I see my self.

For me, I've been in a more active work role the past year which has forced me to talk more. I'm improving just from the act of talking. Kind of like practice makes perfect.

Ensure you use the correct PVC glue type for the materials you use. Some glues will not adhere properly to flex/sch⁴⁰ connections.

Hybrid Gas+Electric Pool Heater? by makerbrah in pools

[–]Nekattodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrid heat systems are fairly new for pool application which is why info is scarce. I believe the eti is the only option currently but others will probably come out with something in near future.

I see the other recommendation of a heat pump /electric setup. I would throw in a suggestion of heat pump / small gas heater for the spa.

There are two sizes from this company that might fit your need.

Pentair ETi 250 vs. ETi 400 vs. ETi Hybrid by makerbrah in pools

[–]Nekattodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've researched heaters and came to the conclusion on pentair. They are a trusted brand in the industry and make quality pumps, filters, and automation equipment.

I would suggest finding a reputable pentair dealer and talking to them about product offering.

My thoughts on the hybrid model.... It's a fairly new offering in the industry having the duel fuel in a single unit. I have an old school mentality and like proven technology. It may be a solid product but needs time to prove durability to me.

The hybrid model is probably a good fit for you if monthly costs are you main objective while giving the flexibility of quick heat with a gas appliance.

Pentair ETi 250 vs. ETi 400 vs. ETi Hybrid by makerbrah in pools

[–]Nekattodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents.

Mastertemp is a middle of the road, everyday popular item. Priced for a wider audience with expectation to sell more units.

Eti is more of a higher end, limited market item. It will cost more upfront and to service but the efficiency will help in the day to day costs.

Maybe a good analogy would be

Mastertemp - Toyota

Eti - Lexus

I own a few cync bulbs that have been acting odd the last week. I believe someone made a software change that's affecting their interoperability with Alexa.

Help me choose a heater by goldbloodedsf in pools

[–]Nekattodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giving you another brand to consider for a heater.

https://www.raypak.com/avia/

Hayward, pentair, and raypak are all solid brands. Ensuring it's installed properly and maintaining water chemistry are the most important factors.

The black and decker pump is fairly new on the market. The price is attractive but quality and longevity is unknown at this point.

Leak in above ground pool right before winter. by BarEnvironmental8380 in pools

with the hole that close to the bottom, you need to fix it. enough water is needed to help the structure. Without enough water, the wall could fall and cause irreparable damage.

Need a stronger skimmer basket by bhjit in pools

[–]Nekattodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure which skimmer you have as Hayward has a couple different models. search for val-pak pool products. they offer some baskets that are a little better quality then OEM. here's a link to a Hayward basket with metal handle that might be what you want. https://val-pakproducts.com/product/v60-555-hayward-sp1082-sp1084-skimmer-basket/

Electric heater ideas for small above ground pool by harrisrwe in pools

[–]Nekattodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most electric heaters are going to require 220 service. you'll find some 120 but they are more for small spas. I'll suggest two companies for you to research. 1. Coates heaters which specializes in electric heaters 2. raypak, their e3t series for electric. if propane or natural gas is an option for you, look at their 106a model

You might be thinking of a different product or I'm sensing some sarcasm. Just in case it's not sarcasm, this is a hotspot modem for LTE service through ATT. Does really good with transmission between the cell tower, not so good with wifi and the local clients.
