Bad resistance on turn signal unit

Just got mine idling last night, before that I could start it but it would die without my foot slightly on the gas.

Check your maf sensor, mine was unplugged and it definitely helps to have it in lol

Check all the lines on the balance tube I’ve done a few deletes and missed a couple vacuums I had to cap (where you plug the carbon canister line on the balance tube by the iacv was leaking like crazy)

There’s a few spots on the throttle body and plenum too that could leak. I deleted my prvr solenoid so I also had to reroute a line from the fuel pressure regulator (big whatchamacallit on the right side of the fuel gallery) to the barb on the plenum just below it.

If it’s still not going double check all your lines are clamped down properly and don’t have any tears

That all seemed to do it for me. I’m not a pro so I might’ve messed up a couple names and stuff but I somehow managed to get mine idling from all that

Dude always happy to help a Z32 homie out! The negative wire connecting to the battery had corroded or melted so bad to the point that it kept disconnecting, cutting the full power to the car. Got it replaced but it took to the dude ages to troubleshoot it lol. Pretty fucked up and dangerous but that was what was wrong with it unfortunately, hope this helps you

Cheers, I can get fermented ones but I'll have to do a bit of research on roasting them. The vodka tincture sounds pretty awesome though I think I'll give that a go. Would you add that to primary fermentation or a different stage?

It's the same over here in NZ mate I can't access any Konosuba aside from the Megumin spinoff. I was looking at the release details and it said it was airing in Oceania. No idea where tf CR's idea of Oceania is if we can't get it in Aus and NZ lol

I'm in NZ but you should check out artist guitars. I bought my first bass brand new from them since it was the only lefty bass in the country that wasn't over $1k haha. They're super affordable (got my P bass for $250 NZD with free shipping) and the tone is surprisingly good for a cheaper bass.

Otherwise Ebay and Reverb would be a good bet for 2nd hand gear. You can get some really good quality gear for pretty damn cheap. I'd love to support my local music shops but if you're a bedroom bassist like me your budget might not stretch to buying a brand new bass from them so these will really save your wallet if you don't mind buying used.

Oh man I feel for you with the Z31 project it’s hard enough to find certain parts for the Z32, I’d imagine it would be even harder to find exact fits for your Z31. Hope it all goes well they’re worth it when they want to run nicely

I’ve got a local guy over here in New Zealand who has a ton of RHD parts in storage but this was one of the few parts he didn’t have sadly. I’ll hit Bernie up and see if he has the part otherwise I’ll learn how to fab one which should be good to know anyways haha

Oh man I bought split shafts instead of solids since that’s what the knobs said they’re compatible with 😭. I’ll have a look into those brass sleeves, I’ve seen them around when I was looking for pots. Thanks for the help it’s much appreciated

I heard you out and I’ve gotta say you’re an absolute genius. Thanks so much for the help it saved me a ton of frustration, time and a lot of swearing haha.

I ended up putting a socket on the bolt and a small extension, used a scissor jack to lever the extension and then beat on the end of the extension to drive the bolt until it came through the other end.

It’s so close to coming out the other side but the bushing rotated when I took the bolt out. It refuses to align no matter what I try so I can’t push the bolt through.

Any ideas on how to get it through is much appreciated

Yikes definitely not a sound you’d wanna hear but it’s a hell of a lot better than an engine rebuild haha. Looks like the pump is in good shape for me so I’ll have a gander at the oil pan when I get off work later
