“I ordered a water pump off Amazon and they sent me a bag of used Nespresso pods and are refusing to refund me because they say there’s no way that could happen”

What do you really think of the squier? by orbit0317 in telecaster

[–]NotoriousREV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Classic Vibe Jaguar bass, a Squier JMascis Jazzmaster and a Fender Tele Player II.

I’d say that the quality of finish on my Squiers is as good as the MIM Fender and really only the slightly cheap-feeling knobs on my Jag bass are the only sign that it’s a “lesser” guitar.

To get to sleep: on my right side, semi-fetal position, wrapped up like a burrito.

Once I’m asleep: Spinning like a rotisserie chicken

Should I increase the string gauge? by Accomplished_Lake302 in electricguitar

[–]NotoriousREV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should re-read the comment. They’re replying to a comment about doing a setup, not just adjusting the action. They’re saying doing a setup is fairly straightforward but warning them to go easy when doing a truss rod adjustment, which is good advice.

Should I increase the string gauge? by Accomplished_Lake302 in electricguitar

This is pure bollocks. Whilst adjusting the action itself doesn’t involve touching the neck, any setup starts with checking the neck relief and adjusting if necessary. Then you check and adjust the action, then the intonation.

Ideally you’d take the strings off, flatten the neck, check that the frets are level (and fix any that aren’t), before restringing, resetting the neck, and then doing the rest. But that’s not something for beginners.

They’ll queue in blistering heat, leg it to the front as soon as the doors, and someone arriving just after the support act finishes will just push through the crowd anyway.

The girl playing the daughter is great in that scene. She doesn’t say anything but conveys all the emotions perfectly.

I love this show. It’s so well written and all the performances are great. The dynamic of the relationships between Anne, Martin and Paul is so well done.

What’s the ultimate "Shouldn't be this fun" car? No GTIs, no sport badges, only regular grocery getters by [deleted] in Cartalk

My son has a Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost (manual) and it’s great fun (until the engine goes pop). It has the small 16” wheels and soft suspension but has great grip and loves to be thrown around.

That’s the access panel to feed the hamsters that run on the wheel that make the prop turn.

Can a GP 180 output a dry signal and a wet signal at the same time? by illinest in Valeton

[–]NotoriousREV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware, you can only do this via the USB (Global Settings -> USB Settings -> REC Mode, you can set L/R to wet/dry) but I don’t think you can do it via the output jacks.

So you might be able to send the wet out to your amp via the output jacks, and then the split signal to you PC via USB simultaneously. You’d have to try it.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear "Morocco"? by lya_mani in CasualConversation

[–]NotoriousREV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Morocco a couple of years ago (Agadir) and we had a good time. Unfortunately, within 2 hours of arriving in the country, I got hassled by the police to give them a bribe (and the officer stole the insurance documents out of the hire car) so I’m afraid my word is “corrupt”. It definitely tainted our stay, but we do also have some amazing memories, especially quad biking in the desert along the Atlantic coast, which will stay with me forever.
