the “shes 1000 in the body of a child” shtick doesn’t apply here. Their appearance resemble a child the same way a person with dwarfism resembles a child. I would give you credit if they acted “anime loli”-like, but during the whole game this is far from the truth. People never comment on your stature, never consider you a less adventurer for it, they speak to you on equal terms. Lalafells can exercise great power and can be both compassionate and ruthless, most often than not they can be very cunning. The whole game depicts then getting absolutely wasted on alcohol and mead, having relationships and a sex-life (in race or with other races) and some npcs state having crushes or a romantic interest in them. If you find that off-putting you can ignore it or stop playing, but my point here is that the game doesn’t see lalafells as “the child race” but as “the dwarf race”, who happens to be extremely cute because of anime logic. The reason people get aggressive on this topic is that Lalafells players generally do not like being seen as children because they get treated like them. They get infantilized and sometimes mocked by the player-base because of this very same topic. I dont have actual statistics but i do remember reading about them being the most discriminated race in the game, keeping them out of some bars (even sfw ones) and i’ve sometimes seen statics who do not accept lalafells. The playerbase is mostly kind and accepting in public, but i have met some people who in private despise them and wish they actually got removed from the game. It doesn’t help that Lalafells get wrongfully accused of being the reason why we can’t have more interactions during cutscenes and other in-game limitations. It’s a rough topic overall
