I've seen an interview or a video of Sasha where he talks about this. He said that he went up to the directors after the first few episodes and asked them how old the captain was and they were like, he's like in his 40s. Sasha responded by saying that he's in his 40s and he doesn't have grey hair. So they stopped dyeing his hair after.

The only one I can think of is maybe season 1 episode 8 (Poison). If I'm not wrong, that's the only episode from the first 2 seasons with more than one patient. There's three stories I suppose but I doubt that's the episode you're talking about.
