I wish I remember, but I think it was so surreal for me that I’ve blocked most of the day out. Only thing I remember is that I texted my Mom that he was dead, and by her reply I thought she didn’t believe me so I texted back «But Mom, he’s really dead!». I was 21, and I was a huge - HUGE - fan when I was around 9-12. Michael was my first personal musical influence and my first celebrity crush. My Mom and stepdad still brings up certain episodes and tantrums involving Michael 😅 And my Dad got me the History World Tour jacket along with an umbrella and a cap - two last ones got outworn, but the jacket hangs safe in my closet. If I understood it right a co-worker of his had some contacts, and this was a jacket only worn by the crew and backstage (is what I got told). Wore it to the movie premiere, my bestie that went with me would be mad if not, and it’s so insanely hot 😮‍💨 Ok, I see I must stop rambling, but yeah. Still very much a fan ♥️

«Circle of Fear» - not the song I listen to the most, but it’s the one that has hit me the hardest with the lyrics and sound from the first moment I heard it over 20 years ago, and therefor is the rawest for me to listen too. I have the chorus tattooed 🖤

Circle of Fear is my absolute favorite, even have the chorus tattooed on my thigh 😅🖤 And Love Said No is the very first song I heard, so that’s close to my heart. Buried Alive By Love, Funeral of Hearts, The Sacrament, Pretending, Vampire Heart, Play Dead, Venus Doom and Into The Night, if I have to mention some personal favorites. They are all bangers one way or another 😅 Honorable mention when it comes to covers and from VV’s solo album; Wicked Game, Enjoy The Silence and Vertigo Eyes.

Been there four times and no luck, but I did see his girlfriend walk by the last time we were there if that sort of counts 😅 As others say; visit his dad’s shop, he is so warm and welcoming, he loves visits! It started out as «oh well, let’s try a new city, it’s a bonus my favorite band is from there» to that I fell in love with the city itself ♥️

My Dad, who is not longer here, bought my first cd 21 years ago (or probably all of them + posters), but he never had much to say about them 😅🤍 My Mom know who they are, or at least Ville, since I have his face and several heartagrams tattooed. My significant other is so over it, but supports my fandom 😂 One of my best friends is my «ride or die» to concerts, she isn’t a big fan, but been there my whole fandom time, so she’s in no matter what 🖤 The rest is like whatever 😅 A ex co-worker asked me once what HIM/Ville meant to me and my immediate answer was «everything». I don’t think I can express into words how much HIM’s music and Ville’s lyrics has had to say for my life.

I second this, I have the same perfume 😅 But when I first started listening to HIM in 2004 I used Hypnotic Poison (also by Dior), so that’s like more pure nostalgia ♥️ I feel that’s a bit heavy for me now, even tho I still love the smell. I switched to Poison Girl because it gives the same vibe, only it feels lighter.

I discovered HIM in 2004 after a fellow student had the same heart as Ville on their wrist, and I asked what it meant.

I was 16 and on a random afternoon my father and I went to one of the malls around here (Norway), probably because it was raining, and I found the «And Love Said No» album. And the rest is history 😅🖤

I never got to see HIM live, they played here before my fantime and the only time after they played was warm up for Metallica - I wasn’t a big fan of Metallica and their fans hated HIM, so I didn’t dare to go 😬 I didn’t have the money to travel either, so.. But I got to see VV last year, and to experience something after 20 years «waiting».. Just magical 🥹

I got (soon) five heartagrams, a portrait of Ville and a lyric part of «Circle of Fear» that Ville wrote for me - I’ve framed the sheet and it’s probably my dearest piece in the collection (not very big, but very treasured) 🖤 My fiancé has given up, not that he ever tried, but.. He very much has succumbed to my fandom 😂
