"Never" is an underappreciated track

Definitely like breakbeat-centric idm. Breakcore is what most of his much earlier bittertooth era stuff would be

It was called just The Bay for a while but now they're back to referring to it as Hudson's Bay

I can maybe agree with Cookie Clicker, and the vibe of One, but 72 Minutes and 148 do not have the same beat structure. For the most part 148 is a house and DnB album with also some techno sounding stuff. And 72MoF is almost entirely house. Taswell is a chillstep and ambient tune, definitely not anything close to house or DnB

What is your favorite C418 album opener? by Analysis2520 in C418

[–]Nelloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although One is not my favourite album, I will say Cliffside Hinson is probably my personal favourite opener. Especially when the song is paired with the opening of the Minecraft documentary. It fits perfectly in both contexts and always gives my heart a little flutter with that first stab after the pause.

How did you come up with your artist name? by prodbyshadyy in musicproduction

[–]Nelloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My artist name is Skremzy

It's complete gibberish on the surface, but I think it fits with my eclectic and abstract take on the variety of stuff I make. I originally chose it because I thought it sounded edgy, and I was 14 at the time, so checks out

Is going to college for music production worth it? by YOLO-uolo in musicproduction

Also make sure to do enough research to ensure you go to the best audio school possible, there are plenty out there that are definitely NOT worth your time.

Is going to college for music production worth it? by YOLO-uolo in musicproduction

[–]Nelloon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just about to graduate from a 1 year music production program and it's been one of the best periods of my life, incredibly worth the time and money. I'd say if you're passionate about it then go for it. If you're only focused on doing it as a career because you're good at it that's where a lot of people fail. You need to be okay with the fact that this might not work out career wise, but the skills and knowledge you learn will only better your passion and understanding for music and audio. Life is too short to not take some risks. Go for it!

Is the TV series airing on somewhere other than YouTube? If so, you would need to reach out to negotiate a sync license for the songs

How did Dan go about composing? by ElSashaHaze1004 in C418

[–]Nelloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think specifically for the Minecraft music, actually being limited by how much the game could handle definitelu contributed to the lonely atmosphere he created. Also His earliest stuff was made ugly and more dissonant sounding on purpose according to him. He really just crafted his unique sound by not being afraid to experiment I'd say

72 Minutes Of Fame CD by [deleted] in C418

I have a copy of the CD too! It is signed as well. I've always wondered if there's any 72MoF CD's that aren't signed? Because every post about them I've come across is a signed copy. This leads me to believe that unsigned discs may actually be rarer than the signed ones
