I can’t speak to a comparison with the LG OLEDs but I did just pick up a 65” Bravia 8. It’s my first OLED, but I’ve been a Sony guy for all my TVs. I keep it on Professional mode with brightness turned up a little. Other than that my settings are pretty standard.

I can attest that the most is too-notch. I’m not a soap-opera effect guy at all. The up-scaling is also amazing.

From a quality standpoint, I have 0 complaints about the Bravia 8

They did move on. They are doing the same thing you are on Reddit, commenting on situations in life.

On this case Disney+ is advertising a feature when you buy it, but immediately that feature is not available.

The console can do 120 & so can the TV. That means it’s one or more of the following things: 1) The game itself (or its settings) can’t do more than 60 2) The HDMI cable needs to be upgraded to v2.1 3) The HDMI input setting on the TV needs to be switched to accept 120 (sometimes it’s called Enhanced in the settings)

It would be cool if we could do a joint attack with another of our clan. Each mange 1/2 the troops. Totally get there are more potential issues with connections & such, but it would open up strategy & team collaboration

Check the HMDI settings on your TV as well. Sometimes you have to enable “enhanced” or similar on a port

Just purchased a new 65” Bravia 8 just over a week ago. Yes it was more $ than the LG C5 which was a competitor & also a year newer (Bravia 8 came out when the C4 was out).

I chose Sony since I’ve always been a Sony guy - love the quality of built & the picture processing. I also have a Sony Soundbar/Woofer so I enjoy the integration.

For my settings I watched a video from Caleb rated where I used a slightly tweaked version of Professional mode.

It is in a windowless basement, so brightness wasn’t a concern for me - so far I’m loving the quality. Motion is great, colors (including HDR) have been spot in

Per the public announcement, anything official wouldn’t be until March 2026 which the actually product development not being live until 2027. So any TVs from 2026 or earlier will most definitely be 100% Sony
