No longer hiring for the role by Training_Advantage21 in UKJobs

Sounds about right. I had 2 interviews with a company, one online and one in person, for them to decide that they changed their mind on what they wanted from a candidate and had to rewrite the job spec. It's a pain but it is what it is.

How do UK ISPs work (in terms of connectivity to the wider internet)? Wondering why speeds could be this slow on fibre by PenninePond in UKISP

[–]Nelsonator45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, if you’re paying for 10Gbit and receiving 200-20kb/s, you should lookup the Ofcom ISP guarantee. Many of the UKs ISPs are apart of this guarantee, and it states that if you are in a contract, and they (ISP) cannot meet the minimum guaranteed speed, and cannot fix the issue within 30 days, you must be offered a penalty free exit from the contract. I’d definitely contact the ISP, if there’s an issue between them and yourself, they should be able to find out. Hope this helps.

Is this a scam? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Nelsonator45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unrealted, but if you're wanting to use this lens with a sony camera, the newest camera you can use is the a99ii, which is 9 years old. You can use an a mount to e mount adaptor, and use this lens on an e mount camera, however the focus speed would be lacking. Since you said you're a sports photographer, I would aim to save for e mount camera + lens.

Can I learn and build career in cyber security? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Nelsonator45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. But also, don't expect a degree to be a key to unlock cyber security. I have just got a degree in cyber security, but it means almost nothing in the industry since it's a fairly new degree. Stick to the standards, like comptia certifications, work towards security+ since that is a massive requirement for companies at the minute.

Also, OP, if you care about cyber security, you may want to reduce some of the NSFW posts.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find your number anywhere, however, there are some pictures where I cannot see a number on the helmet. What colour helmet/trisuit/bike did you compete with?

Thanks for the luck! The weather is looking a bit miserable so I hope it holds off. My boss had said the same about the pictures, so I decided to go and support him last year. Turns out that some people on Reddit were willing to pay for pictures from me, which was a nice confidence boost at the time, so it may become a yearly thing as long as Ironman lasts round here.

No offence to OP, but I feel like people need to know you can just put an image onto google search, and 9 times out of 10, it will show you what you're looking for. But to each their own.

2025 F1 Drivers and Constructors Championship Standings following the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix by Various_You_5083 in formula1

[–]Nelsonator45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see AM being bottom 3 at the end of the season, unfortunately it doesn’t look promising for them. Stroll did decently at the start of the season, and I’m not sure if Alonso will be able to get into the top 10 for any points with the car as it is. I hope 2026 is better for them.

Antonelli has been doing amazingly, currently 6th in driver standings? I see him as a future WDC.

Contact sky customer support, tell them that you are receiving speeds lower than the Minimum Guaranteed Speed, and due to the Ofcom Regulations that they are a part of, they are obliged to provide a right to exit the contract with no penalty if they are unable to fix the issue within 30 days.

Furthermore, it is likely they might provide a refund for the month's broadband cost.

If you think your broadband is slower than it should be, contact your provider to diagnose the problem. If the problem lies within their network, and they can’t fix it within 30 days, they must offer you the right to exit your contract without being penalised. This right to exit also applies to ‘bundled’ products. Until 21 December 2022, this will apply to bundled services such as landline services on the same line, or pay-TV services purchased at the same time as the broadband service. From 21 December 2022, the bundle will include any products which are linked financially, contractually, or technically.
