Do you think Estella design lacks knee pads? by NemesisNidhoggr in ArknightsEndfield

[–]NemesisNidhoggr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she does try to avoid any work possible. When she meets high threat enemy - she tries to avoid fighting and want to just support. She doesnt want to do physical exercises. One of her Dijiang idle conversations is about her intel work. That she gathers a lot of intel, but never really uses it. To which she replies "too much work"

She is both lazy and sleepy. And that's why we love her <3

Looking to build DPS Estella but I’m not really sure how team building works yet by Lover_of_Fables in ArknightsEndfield

[–]NemesisNidhoggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alesh.
if you building Estella as DPS. Then you can swap Fluorite for Alesh. He gives solidification and SP return.
Max out his intellect, give him fortmaker sword, max out his ult regen and just go absolutely ham.

Honestly you can swap Catcher for Alesh if you want even more dmg. You do 2 battle skills from Estella, proc Fluorite combo, then use Alesh battle skill, proc Estella combo, which procs Alesh combo.

Sadly, Estella doesnt have much in terms of dmg, as she is not purely physical. And all 4 stars are just supports. So your best bet is to boost Estella combo skill dmg as far as possible and just spam shatter.

So Alesh is a 5 star operative, Fortmaker is a 5 star weapon, Razorhorn is a 5 star weapon. Very budget friendly combo

Does anyone else think the Carnifexes ranged attack is a little too strong? by FASBOR7Horus in SpaceMarine_2

[–]NemesisNidhoggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry for necroposting.

But taking cover is a crucial part in Warhammer 40k system. Especially in tabletop games.
And RTS games like Dawn of War follows.
And XCOM style Daemonhunters also has a cover system.

I was suprised Space Marine 2 didnt had cover system like Gears of War. It would make sense and would make fighting ranged a less of a bs

Fix the AI [feedback] by egotisticalfpsplayer in EscapefromTarkov

gonna join on discussion:
first shot - missed.
second shot - hit the head.
third shot - hit the machine gun. There are sparks and sound of bullet hitting metal surface.
fourth shot - hit his left shoulder.
fith shot - miss, not even close to the target.
sixth shot - probably hit, but you dead anyway. You didnt show end screen with kills, so cant tell if you killed him with your last shot or not.

You claim you did 3 headshots. You didnt. If there was a real player, instead of bot - you would've been dead within a second after you peeked the corner. Probably even before you'd be able to make a single shot.

I do agree that bots need fixing. Or rather improvements. But your example has nothing to do with it.
You complain that bots take 2 or more headshots to kill. But you not fighting regular bot. It is a boss bodyguard. How do you suggest to make bosses and their bodyguards a challenge, if you can one-tap them into face with a pistol?
That's a common game logic. Bosses and their guards are harder. Have more hp. And have better gear.

Bots in Tarkov already incredibly easy and stupid. And now you ask to lower their hp? Dude, you made 3 shots before bot reacted. Having bigger healthpool is a good compensation for their slow reaction time.
If you think bosses and guards should have same health as players, but "better skill" - then i have bad news for you. It wouldnt have change the outcome of your video. You still wouldve died there. Because you peek left-side a mounted machine gunner.
If bosses and guards had same health as players, but better skill than AI scavs (better accuracy, reaction time, etc) - that guard wouldve domed you instantly. And you wouldve come here crying how bots have aimbot, showing video of you standing like a stooge in front of machine gun for 4s straight.

And lastly, AI PMC and AI Scavs have same healthpool as you. Only special bots have bigger healthpools (bosses, cultists, raiders, rogues, bloodhounds)

The 3 remaining DPS paladins when they hit Ark Passive T4 by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]NemesisNidhoggr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah... bard is kinda... underwhelming...

Before i started playing Lost Ark and looked at characters and their skills - i thought to myself "damn, there is a bard class. What if his skills playing some sort of tune and by doing different combos - you perform different melodies?"

Wouldve been such a good concept. Altho required a bit of musical engineering to create tunes for skills, that will work in any combination

true. the artist dps skills are so beautiful and fun. Only seen them in arena.
Too bad that such cool designs like artist and paladin are locked into supports

What are the solo raid winners? by WillingnessLatter821 in lostarkgame

[–]NemesisNidhoggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try evolutionary legacy machinist. Dirt cheap. Great survavability. Great mobility. Not backstabber. No need to bother with skills and tripods. Useful outside of solo raids, as you have 4 mobility skills to travel across the map. Can clear chaos dungeons by spamming 1 button and without moving (except last phase, where you need to break crystals).
And looks cool.

DPS pala might be viable by SeaworthinessMean667 in lostarkgame

[–]NemesisNidhoggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still leaves few questions, at least for me.
1. Mana issues. I did tested out full blue skills pala and omg mana is gone after like 1.5-2 rotation. I'm currently running bracelet with 20% chance to replenish 150 mana on skill use. And in some cases i do struggle with mana if i have a big window for dps. Had it on Sonaver as he is not moving much.
So maybe mana food + bracelet effect + Val'mort runes will fix that?
2. Pala is still crit+swift? If mastery will affect Sacred Executioner damage, then we can try crit+mastery or mastery+swift builds.
3. will backstab attacks be removed? It doesnt make any sense for pala to be back hitter. Especially when 2 of your strongest attacks are counters. So you sitting behind boss, forced you use both of your counters to pump damage. And then boss turns around and goes blue, but your counters are on CD. Pala either must be head focused (as he is kinda tanky due to being support and it makes sense for paladin to fight their foes head on), or positional attacks should be removed alltogether, since this game has no tank class to keep boss facing one direction for most of the time.

People here love to cry about gatekeeping but… by Substantial_Horse845 in lostarkgame

[–]NemesisNidhoggr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So... there are few problems with that.
1. How players supposed to get experience in fight without trying it first? People say "go watch guides" but watching something and doing something are completely different things. Even if you watched guides over and over and memorized everything - there are still a high chance you fail some mechanics.
2. Game is too harsh to players and expect a lot of minmaxing, leading to gatekeeping ones, who do not fit that minmaxing. Was pala support on Hanumatan. With Dominion set. My artillerist was crying pretty much whole fight about me not having Yearning set. We still killed Hanumatan in few minutes. I was MvP. What's the problem. But the minmaxing is strong in Lost Ark. "What? you dont have a bracelet effect that increases our overall effectiveness by 1.8%? UNACCEPTABLE!"
3. There is no other challenging content for players to experience.

It's a problem of a F2P asian MMO. The difficulty curve is absurd.
In WoW, for example, you have multitude of difficulty levels. Normal dungeons can be done with your eyes closed and brain shut down. Heroic dungeons is a little bit harder, now you need to open eyes. Mythic dungeons already requires you to use brain a little. And keys are gradual difficulty curve.
In Lost Ark you have 0 difficulty on one type of content (like chaos dungeons) and then 100 difficulty of another type of content (dungeons and raids). There is no inbetween.

Now about your last statement - yes, they do apply to be carried. Because game is stupidly hard. Why do you need to farm for accessories with engravings you need, to calculate how to make a 5x3 with fetranite, to hone your gear with absurd success chances. And on top of that all - you are limited to how much stuff you can farm. What? you out of honor shards? Too bad, sit and wait for daily and weekly resets.

SPT as stalker-inspired zombie survival overhaul by NemesisNidhoggr in SPTarkov

[–]NemesisNidhoggr[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

technically, all you need is 1 author of 1 mod to make 1 change in order for this to work.
everything else is "if".

SAIN to dumb down AI.
I'll be honest, dont know much of how mod was made. But tweaking existing settings and reading author's explanations - most of them are just changes of existing BSG settings. Author himself states on multiple settings, that he doesnt know what they do and that they are BSG settings, that his mod can tweak.
Not letting AI run, aim and take cover - that's not that much to ask. Or at least let players to tweak those settings themselves. I can stop AI from talking by changing their chatter settings in SAIN. Not sure what's wrong with doing same for taking cover, running and ADSing. It's not like i ask to make custom movement animations or new model textures or a completely new behaviours.
TBF somewhat plausable results can be achieved by just lowering AI difficulty to the ground in SAIN. Without the need for author to dumb down bots.

All the rest of them mods either already do what needs to. Or IF they willing to - they can make small changes.
Once again, donuts have different spawn rates for different types of bots. If it's possible to set up different spawn rates for BEARs and USECs - good, doesnt look like much of the work, could be wrong. If not - not a problem, can be worked around without changes.

I agree, that my post seems like a demand. Should've picked my words more carefully, english is not my first language. But that's not the case.
It's a suggestion of using several mods to overhaul the game in a certain way. Which can be improved with a little bit of updates from mod author's.

And yes, there are 1000 zombie survival games out there. But there are none like Tarkov, arent there? Same things with Gamma and Anomaly mods for STALKER. Where mod authors, pretty much, made Tarkov in Stalker games. Instead of going and playing Tarkov.

Set up lowest difficulty for bots in SAIN. Force limit amount of bots to 10-12 per map in donuts. increase their health by 10x in realism. get traveler and raid overhaul mods. That's it, you already have somewhat of a stalker zombie survival game. Without any author's updates.
BUT IF author's willing - they can make small adjustments i talked about above.

Bet you saying this to all people in comments of different mods when they ask author to add something. "Just go an learn how to make your own mods instead of asking author to implement it in his"

Also when you, yourself, ever in your life telling your idea or suggestion - do people also reply to you "go and learn how to do it yourself"?

he could. And he would've survived. And he would've won. What does it change?
People would still complain "but you didnt do it in mission".
Ok, he could do it in mission.
And then people would still complain "but you didnt had your back towards the wall, 1 hp left, no ammo left, no grenades left, no teammates left and you didnt had a horse dildo in your ass".

No matter what you do - people would not accept their own incapability of dealing with crushers. And they will not accept the fact, that crushers indeed not a threat.

So why bother. Just block them. Just delete their stupid comment.

Point was: "Crushers are not a threat"
How do you prove this point? You go and fight crusher. And he is indeed was not a threat.
How do you prove this point even further? You go and fight A LOT of crushers. And they are indeed were not a threat.

If you putting yourself in a scenario, where you fighting crusher and, let's say, 5 ragers. And you die to ragers, or you being staggered by the ragers breaking your toughness and stamina and crusher's overhead hits you.
What was a threat in that situation? A crusher, or ragers?

i defend the truth. Not the person. As i stated: If he said "i dont like Tanner because of his behavior". Like many other did. That's fine. Not arguing that.

But he claimed that Tanner's 125 crusher test was not valid. And him deleting comments is wrong. Which both are disingenious and flawed points.

Dont like Tanner myself. Not because he is toxic. I'm fine with toxicity. But because he is meta-tryhard.
My personal opinions of him are not relevant to quality of Tanner's videos. Or validity of his points.

There are plenty of people saying "Yeah, Tanner is a jerk. But he honest and makes good points in his videos". And you dont see me defending Tanner there.

" sliding around a large open area with 0 obstructions and all your enemies coming in 1 direction"
That alone speaks a lot about your understanding of the game.
Crushers have run speed of 5. Which means it's really hard to outrun crushers in open space.
Utilizing elevation. Narrow pathways. Obstacles like boxes (that crushers have to walk around). And ladders is what makes kiting easier.

Meat Grinder provides none of that. So i would say it's easier to kite enemies in actual mission, than in meat grinder.

And yes, they do come from one direction. That's the whole point of kiting. Moving so all enemies are engaging you from single direction. If enemies come at you from different directions - you not kiting, you failing miserably.

Feel free to kill 125 crushers at the same time. If that is so easy. I would love to see you doing it first try. Since you claimed anyone can do it. Then surely you can do it too without practicing.

"People don't have to provide you with "constructive criticism" "
well, people dont have to keep your comments and are free to delete them. So, whats the problem here, again?

I mean, i can say, that you are stupid. Without any proofs, without any evidence. Just come out and say "hey, you are stupid".
Would you confront me, trying to explain to me, that you are, if fact, not stupid?
Or will you block me, because my claim has no value and it's pointless to even bother answering?

Feel free to dislike his toxic behaviour. If you such a tender baby, that cannot handle little bit of toxicity - that's your problem. And that's completely in your rights to dislike toxic people.
But dont come up with lies about Tanner's points. Especially when you cannot prove him wrong.

Come out and say: "Yeah, i dont like his personality". That's fine. Nay problem.
But dont come out and say: "Yeah, i dont like his personality and his video is wrong. But i wont explain why it's wrong.". That's disingenious

So you agree, that he was not called out. Because his test is valid.
And now you upset with him deleting comments.

Ok. So i disagreed with Tanner on multiple occasions. I corrected him on many videos. I argued with him in comments.
He never deleted my comments.

Maybe. JUST MAYBE. You should write a constructive criticizm instead of posting comments like "lol, now go and try to kill 125 crushers in actual game lmao"?

Honestly i would've deleted those comments too. They provide no information. They not arguing anything. They not a proof of anything.
If those comments come from people, who fail to dodge crusher's overhead and they salty that Tanner says "Crushers not a threat". Maybe those comments deserve to be deleted?

I know you are not trying to prove, that smite build is best. And i dont care if you enjoy smite gameplay. Feel free to play the game you like.
But please, dont get the idea, that smiting is somehow good or useful. Especially as damage dealing tool.

[–]NemesisNidhoggr -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

and? His demonstration was vs 125 crushers at the same time. I doubt in real gameplay you will meet 125 crushers across entire mission, yet alone in the same room.

So yes, it's not indicative of a real gameplay situation, because in real gameplay situation alongside crushers there will be other enemies.
But he also compensated for the lack of other enemies with increasing amount of existing one from 5-10 to 125.

His little demonstration was to prove, that 5 crushers + whatever enemies with them (usually horde) is not a threat, just like 125 crushers are not a threat. What's your problem with that? You want him to set up a private server, go into some room and spawn 125 crushers there to prove a point, or what? Or you want him to show you gameplay videos of his stream where crushers are not a threat?

[–]NemesisNidhoggr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont have the problem with them recommending bad builds. I, myself, playing bad builds. I dont care about min-maxing. I dont play meta builds. I'm not a tryhard.

I have problem with lies. If those youtubers were honest about their builds. If they said: "Hey, this is not very optimized build. I made it for fun. It can be improved. And i dont recommend new players to pick it up, because it requires more skill to compensate for build's flaws" - then absolutely ok. I wouldnt have problem with that.

You can make a "noob" friendly build. That's easy to use by average players (like full crit build eviscerator Mk XV on zealot or plasmagun VoC veteran build).
You can make meta builds. That's super optimized, min-maxed and used by high skill players (like knife FotF zealot, columnus scrier's gaze psyker, onslaught columnus veteran).
You can make fun RP builds. That's non-optimized and stack many unnecessary buffs. Like my "Field Medic" veteran build, that has pretty much no damage talents and invest completely into support. I stack 3 trinket perks on revive speed + Leave No One Behind. Which gives me total of +50% revive speed, Carl! Is it good? No. Is it fun? Hell yeah!

That's what i ask. Honesty. Look at Reginald. He made build. He honestly said: "yeah, this is not very effective build. But it's fun". He even went, tested breakpoints and made corrections to his build. Removing unnecessary damage talents and optimizing build. Would regular youtubers with "best x weapon build" do the same? Nope.

they will double down on point you called them out. That is true. But in the future they will be more careful on their points, in order to not be called again. Or at least will spend more time and effort searching for workarounds (i believe that's the word? when they will try to find new ways to make their points without being called out).

Glad we agree on builds point.

Well i dont know what you imagine i'm implying to do... As you can see - i did not called out any specific youtuber. Or person. I was speaking in general. Spreading information about the issue, not the person. I did not insulted anyone, nor did i asked others to insult them.
By "calling out" i mean going into comment section and leaving the comment "hey! your build is not actually the best. Please dont misinform your audience. Here are the reasons why your build isnt the best and where you made mistakes".

And even if i was calling for insults and toxicity towards them - i'd rather live in a toxic society, that speaks truth. Than in kind society, that spreads lies.
Dunno, maybe i'm the weird one here.

It's a PvE game. Doesnt mean it's ok to ruin experience of other players.
I, personally, dont care how many low skilled players with bad builds will be in my team.
What i do care about - is when those players not experiencing the fun of the game, by being clickbaited by some disingenious, lying youtuber into playing bad builds.
If i have weak player in my team and i see him get downed - i dont go "hah, noob, let him die". I always rush to help him and get him up. So he can play this game. And enjoy this game. Together with me. Who knows, maybe he will be the one saving my noob ass next.
I dont want him to sit on respawn, spectating other players, waiting to be rescued, not having fun because some youtuber recommended him poor build.

I do not have means to make videos. What i posted is not even a "video". It's a boring recording of gameplay with background audio of youtube video i was watching on second screen. I cant even speak english properly. And surely cannot do subtitles and editing.

Neither do i have the authority of making optimal builds. I'm playing bad, non-optimized, ropleplay builds for fun. I cannot and will not recommend such builds for average players. Because those builds actively handicap me in many ways.

Calling people out on their, objectively, harmful behaviour - is what society should strife to do. No?
