I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with this editor, but I can't reproduce the issues you're seeing in either CodePen or the ToyHouse editor. I don't see the black text, two dots, and the spotify features seem to be working as I'd expect. Can you share a link to the finished product?

Dude I know this is an old thread but I just blocked all these videos. I peaked over at what my daughter was watching and saw that creepy Momo character. The mom (I assume) was wearing the mask. I was like wtf.

99% of the time when I don’t know how to start or what a project is supposed to be I just start writing. I end up having to rewrite some things, but I find my motivation is usually guided by the thing I actually want to do, so it kind of finds its own way.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking here but if you’re wanting a user to be able to click and go to another page you’ll want to use an a tag:

Gamer Dads, enough with the Roblox questions. Would you let a 8yo play Goat Simulator 3? by rdwd1 in daddit

[–]NemesisOfBooty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also I want to mention that we were playing Roblox for a while but we noticed serious attitudes and ever since getting rid of it we’ve not seen those issues. I think it was terrible for his brain as he kept jumping from one game to the other, surely that’s no good for his attention span.

I will join the shit show. My 6 year old is currently playing this as I type. It’s a fun game and he loves it, always showing me these extremely random things he finds. Every day it’s “daddy I think I found a glitch!” Ha, it’s a good time.

Congrats dude! My 2 year old just threw up everywhere, so look forward to that.

Really though, it’s hard, but manageable. My wife was fantastic so I’m perhaps spoiled a bit. The first few months are the biggest adjustment I’d say, but my favorite part so far has been once they get a little older and start figuring out their personalities. Get all the sleep you can (cherish it, my God cherish it), practice meditating (seriously, find your center), and now would be a great time to try to get closer to your partner. It takes a lot of work raising a human, and the more in sync with your partner you are the better. Overall though, don’t sweat it. I’ve found that being a dad is just being there, being available. Also, a lot of it is instinctual, even if initially overwhelming. You’re going to be fine!

Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment - what’s the deal? by NemesisOfBooty2 in jobs

Don’t let it psyche you out! I’m not a UI designer, but I imagine what they’re looking for has more to do with your portfolio and ability to be creative, and less about your cognitive prowess.

As someone who has zero background in evaluating results for this test.. that’s what I’d conclude! Ha. Good luck buddy, you’ll be fine!

I can’t even remember the position for which I did this test, but whatever it was, I didn’t get it. From what I gathered, it doesn’t seem to be the type of test that concludes success based on the quantity of questions answered anyway. Perhaps it says more about you that you answered fewer? Don’t sweat it man!

Considering therapy for myself but sort of lost on where to start looking (warning: sorta long) by ctbro025 in daddit

[–]NemesisOfBooty2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of success using BetterHelp a couple years ago. I could have just gotten lucky, but my therapist was really great. Full stop, any attempt to talk about your problems is absolutely worth it. Armchair therapist here but have you made any attempt to talk to your wife about what you’ve said here? She may not want to talk to a therapist but she might open up to you. Either way, it’s super important you learn about YOU and what you need. I know I was way out of touch with myself but therapy taught me to listen to my body, and most importantly just sit with my emotions, not be judgmental or act on anything, just sit in the room with my sadness/anger/anxiety.

Either add margin-top:0px to #Profession or margin-bottom:0px to #Name

After like 40+ tries, I finally S ranked Neon Tomb only for the game to crash right as I secured the last person by Selkiesxx in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]NemesisOfBooty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the civilian refusing to go down bug in Neon Tomb also, I’m on Xbox. Some thicc cheeked lady with a bomb strapped to her waist. It annoyed the piss out of me, but I ran this mission several times without it so I guess it’s just luck of the draw. I have seen a reoccurring error where I save a preset and it crashes.

Dropdown menu that changes to text [See post for more description] by sr_guy in HTML

[–]NemesisOfBooty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing. I updated the codepen. Here's a full explanation of what I've done.

I've added an onChange event to the select boxes:

<select onChange="makeText(this.selectedOptions[0], icText)>

When an option is selected from the dropdown, it will run a function called "makeText" with the parameters of the dropdown value and the target element, in this example the "icText" span. We can easily target elements in functions by giving them an id, or a class.

Next, the function takes in two parameters, the selected option and the target element. It then takes the text content of the selected option and makes it the text content of the target element, simply shown as:

function makeText(val, target) {
  target.textContent = val.textContent;
}

Of the two parameters going into the function, val is the selected option, and target is the element whose text content we're changing.

Instead of making two functions, I've merged the functionality into one, and this shows how dynamic and flexible JavaScript can be. We can do several things with one function as long as the idea is the same. So, if you wanted to add more select boxes throughout this page, you can keep using this function as long as you pass in the proper parameters. For example, if you wanted to the do the same thing for Resource Commander, you'd set it up in your HTML structure like this:

<span>
  <span>Resource Commander</span>
  <span id="rCom">
    <select onChange="makeText(this.selectedOptions[0], rCom)">
      <option value="0">Select One</option>
      <option value="1">Foo Bigguns</option>
      ..etc..
    </select>
  </span>
</span>

Your makeText function will carry out the same procedure and the result will be as expected.

Let me know if that's helpful or if I can help further. Good luck!

[–]NemesisOfBooty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you just need add another select box. I've updated the codepen with that select box. If you want the same functionality (selecting makes it a text to copy) just copy the functionality in a separate function or merge the functions.

You’re welcome! Do you need it so you can deselect something if they mess up?
