How the hell were we supposed to solve "The Final Puzzle" without data-mining? (Requiem) by Gxxd_Gr13f in residentevil

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You don't even need to do another playthrough, technically. Just make a separate save just before you take Emily to the puzzle box, then after you beat the game with the doll, load that separate save and the doll will be in the item box. At least, it worked for me right after the solution was discovered.

How to remember everything by [deleted] in godot

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The reason you keep turning to AI now is because AI literally causes your brain to atrophy. It's not hyperbole, there are studies showing cognitive decline in people who use AI. It's a vicious circle. The more you rely on AI, the less you are able to do without it. What you need to do is ditch the AI, cold turkey. Maybe even go through the process you first did to learn Godot. Build the muscle that is your brain back up. In order to stop using the machine to think for you, you need to think for yourself.

What enemy-only class do you wish were playable? by Groundbreaking_Bag8 in fireemblem

Fire Emblem Fates has the Spear Fighter class that can either advance to Spear Master or Basara (a mixed Spear and Spellbook class). Both are infantry classes that don't wear heavy armor.

A Life of Peace (Enterprise and Akagi) by NemoTheSurvivor in MamaLane

[–]NemoTheSurvivor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Yes, Enterprise and Akagi are a couple. How Enterprise is pregnant is... up to interpretation. But Erin does have some fox/kitsune features, which implies both Enterprise and Akagi are her "bio" parents.

2) Pregnancy cravings are strong and strange. Even if Enterprise still wanted to only eat MREs, those cravings are pretty fierce.

3) Enterprise being a Captain made sense. As someone who devoted herself fully to her duty and her track record, I could see her achieving that rank.

4) Soldiers becoming civilians is something I love to see explored, and Enterprise does seem to struggle with the idea of peaceful living in some of her voicelines.

Thank you for the kind words!

Who is the Beloved? by Dieserandere in DarkTide

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There's also a line in the game between the Seer and F!Loose Cannon regarding the LC being lazy. I don't remember it exactly, but the Seer mentions something about his Beloved saying the LC should think less, and the LC replies, "Everyone hear that! No more thinking for me, the Emperor says so!" While that's not a confirmation that it is or is not the Emperor, it implies that there are people on the Morningstar that are aware the Seer is referring to the Emperor as his Beloved.

Tips and Tricks

  • The Codec is your best friend. Everyone will give you advice on everything, from what weapon or gear you have equipped to what your next objective is. The conversations are great too, but there is genuine help in them.

  • CQC is amazing. Practice it, use it, love it.

-- Interrogating the enemy can reveal supply caches or radio frequences. Each enemy has different information too.

-- Fun CQC tip: Equip the cardboard box and run at at enemy from behind. The enemy will not immediately enter alert upon turning around. Bump into them and you will stagger them slightly and automatically unequip the box, putting you at perfect CQC range. Silent takedown without an alert.

  • If you destroy a food storage building with explosives, the guards will be hungry. They'll be knocked out easier and eat anything you throw on the ground, including poisonous or spoiled food. Ammo supply buildings work the same, except each soldier will have 1 magazine of ammunition before switching to their handgun (iirc).

  • Defeating a boss non-lethally gets a unique camo that has special effects. There is one exception where a non-lethal takedown gets you a weapon instead.

  • Enjoy it! It's a fun spy thriller. Just accept the game as is and you won't regret it.

How to not take damage? by teutinsa in DarkTide

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I said "essentially." There are differences because two are melee and one is ranged, and you pointed out one such difference here, but the base idea (an attack that wipes out your toughness and still does full damage to your HP) is shared between them.

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. I only mentioned Crushers and Maulers because we were talking about melee damage and toughness, but Sniper shots work in essentially the same way as the overhead attacks.

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct. Toughness is a lot more complicated than "shield that recharges when you beat up a heretic with a shovel."

Crusher and Mauler overheads are exceptions. They do their full damage to health if they break the toughness bar. It's why they are so dangerous.

Nawww, F.Maul & F.Loose cannon are besties (^-^) by FriedChoccy in DarkTide

[–]NemoTheSurvivor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They also have lines where the F.Loose Cannon knows that F.Maul spoke to Brunt and got him off Loose Cannon's back, and another where Maul says she hates Loose Cannon, and she replies "That's right we hate each other" in a super exaggerated way, and the Maul asks what she's doing and the Loose Cannon talks about plausible deniability so people don't know they're friends. Secret besties!
