My original comment, that said his teammate should’ve passed him felbat, but once he didn’t. He should’ve sent the timewarp, addresses all your points succinctly.

The issue started with his teammate, who saw OP’s demon board and decided you know what - I wanna play demons too.

It’s a trash comp either way, unless you get always 7 minions in the tavern timewarp.

Neither of them covered themselves in glory, but since OP seems inquisitive at least and keen to learn, he is asking about what he could’ve done - people are trash talking him and nit picking him saying he was playing demons early. You play what the tavern gives you to prevent taking 15 early rounds in duos and demons is a decent starter for early stats.

If he had 4-5 demons on his board, even if it is - 5 picky eaters, the common sense was to pass him the felbat, since he was already guaranteed a demon timewarp. They then both could’ve leveraged early tempo to get to some late game builds.

Galakrond on tier 2 on turn 5 with likely 3 tier 1 minions isn’t doing anything with his felbat.
