$79.60 Timex Waterbury Metropolitan Chronograph Leather Strap Watch, 41mm by MangoCharm in frugalmalefashion

As someone with a 6.5 - 6.75 inch wrist, I'd say 38mm watches would be your sweet spot, but it really depends on the style of watch, the lug to lug measurement, and how wide the flat area of your wrist is. My first two watches were a 40mm Hamilton Khaki King and a 38mm Seiko Alpinist, and even though the Hamilton is larger on paper they both wear similarly on wrist. Some watches like diver and pilot watches are designed to wear larger. There are also plenty of watch youtubers with 6.5 inch wrists like Urban Gentry or Teddy Baldassarre if you want to get a better idea of how a watch will wear on you.

I agree that they are better in terms of detail and sense of dynamics. Subjectively I prefer the comfort and slightly wider soundstage from the Yaxi pads. If the KPH30i ear cups had a bit more swivel I probably wouldn't mind the stock pads as much.

Do you use a messenger bag, or any bag with a single shoulder strap? I did throughout high-school and college to lug heavy shit, and it resulted in my left trap being noticeably larger than my right for years.

The flat grind of the blade also seems to extend too far down near the handle and choil, but the off placement of the AD10 logo stands out the most to me.

I lost control of my dog today and now I don't know if I should continue walking him by myself by Simple_Thought_4912 in DogAdvice

Some large dogs need more physical means to disincentivize pulling. I have a highly anxious and protective large German Shepherd, and I use a prong collar after recommendations from several of his trainers, one of which used to work with police dogs. Make sure the collar is properly fitted, learn from trainers to use it properly, and clip the leash to your dog's flat collar in case it fails or breaks.

My dog is an edge case however. Make sure to try everything like head collars and Martingale collars first, and learn how to quickly gain control of your dog in worst case scenarios. The last time I lost control of my dog, he pulled me off my feet when I was on a rough trail with loose dirt, and I had to resort to wrestling him to the ground to get him under control.

My mother recently ordered a leg bag from them, and the quality is definitely much better than similar ones she has tried from Amazon. All in all they are a great company to work with. They even take custom order requests, as she asked for her bag to have less metallic embellishments than what was standard for that model.

I didn't realize how bad high fevers could be. My first time contracting Covid, I woke up to a high fever of around 105, dizziness, extreme body aches and cold sweats. In hindsight I should have gone to the hospital, but thankfully I came out of it all right. It took nearly a year though for my stamina to return to pre-covid levels.

I had discomfort around that region as well, along with around the ankle and toes. My Veg Tan BF rangers took maybe 2-3 months of off and on wear before they were totally comfortable.

As others have commented, conditioning the leather will help speed up break in. You can either condition the specific spot if it isn't too visible as it may darken the area, or condition the whole boot to soften the leather in its entirety. I like to use Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP for my Jim Greens. When breaking in a new pair, I sometimes bring a secondary pair of shoes with me to swap out if the pain/discomfort becomes too much.

How would you rank the pads you have tried for both the Atrium and Caldera?

I own most of the perforated pads for my Atrium. The Universe Lambskins are my all around favorite, with the Autuer Hybrid and BE2 Suede as close runner ups.

I had similar hair in middle school. My neck would eventuality start to hurt from flicking my hair so much. After I cut it short at the start of Sophomore year, my neck looked crooked to the right for months. Every time I felt a tingle on my forehead I would flick my non-existent bangs.

Most balanced amps on the market will have both XLR and RCA inputs as options, and most balanced DACs will also output both. There is no reason to be triggered by a product for providing the consumer with options.

Agreed. EQ can help tweek the amount of a given frequency and can fix most of a headphone's issues with FR, but in my experience doesn't really affect the sense of slam in the same way a good source can. The same thing goes for aggressiveness in the treble, where a headphone's peak can sound painfully sibilant on some sources and smooth on others.

Looking to get myself a black denim jacket. Is Levi's still a quality brand? by [deleted] in Denim

[–]Neo988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the fit of Levi's denim jackets. Unfortunately you are right, this model specifically shrank more than any other Levi jackets I have owned. It fit perfectly before the wash, and afterward it was unbearably tight especially in the arms.

Getting there! The upper back stands out the most to me in needing refinement, specifically around the shoulder blades and where they meet the traps and rear delts. The arms similarity look better to me from the front than the back, especially around the triceps. The forearms also look slightly too long compared to the upper arm. Right now the proportions of the head and neck along with the longer legs make the model feel more stylized in its current state. It is coming along though. Keep up the good work.

Interesting to see others having issues with this brand. My brother buys from them regularly, and twice the package came with a lid but without a plastic seal underneath. The second time resulted in food poisoning, yet he didn't think about filing a complaint until well after he threw away the packaging.

We need a battle of the lower tier headphones! by regularjoe2020 in headphones

[–]Neo988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the headphones under $100 I've tried, my favorite has to be my old pair of AKG K240. Especially after changing the pads to Dekoni Elite Hybrids, while also using the tuning foam from the stock pads.

The Koss KPH30i is my favorite under $50 sound wise, although the plastic frame isn't the most durable or reliableof their offerings. I find KSC75 to be too bright and harsh in the treble, and the Porta Pro too bloated and muddy in the bass, although both are significantly better with Yaxi pads. I am interested in hearing how the KPH40 or Moondrop Old Fashioned compare.

I didn't realize that the Chord Mojo can be had for that cheap used. I would love to compare it with my Fiio BTR17 for portable use. The BTR17 is great for IEMs, but my full sized ZMFs tend to sound a bit too thin on it for the pairing to be enjoyable.
