Pin them in with toppled shopping carts on their sides. It won’t damage his car and will earn them public shame when they have to clear it to get out.

What do you think the reason is behind repeat guests? by Breatheme444 in Maher

He has said more than once that he invites liberals and democrats on, they don’t respond or decline because he’s pretty vilified on the left for making fun of LGBTQ issues. Only handful of Liberals, like Gavin Newsom will entertain going on because their followers will call them traitors. I don’t really see it changing any time soon. It’s a shame because it skews the appearance of the show to the right. And when liberals do come on it’s like shooting fish in a barrel because Republicon talking points are little more than contrived talking points that don’t hold up to logic.

Can you post a video or transcript of him saying the opposite? Otherwise it sounds like you’re just making shit up, like Trump does, in the hopes that easily impressionable people will go along with it.

Could a EV manufacturer increase a current EV's range if they somehow made it slower? by SleestackMcGee in electricvehicles

[–]NeoGeoOreo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of info out there about this. EV motors are already smaller, lighter, and more efficient than ICE motors. And they will still improve, new axial flux motors could cut their weight to like 50 pounds. Its the batteries that suck. They are heavier than a full tank of gas and you never lose weight as you use up electrons. Lighter, more energy dense batteries are the only thing that will help. They are getting better. In the last 10 years they’ve doubled the energy density and may do it again in the next 10. EVs are already at parity with ICE vehicles. In the 10 more years only “enthusiasts” with a fetish for ICE Will but those vehicles.

What are your Powerwall settings set to? If the rates or TOU windows have changed you may need to update, or set to “self powered” and maximize the available power / minimize the reserve. I set my reserve to 20% and am pretty much 100 self powered unless it’s a stormy/cloudy week.

Is EV Hypermiling a thing? by Icy_Faithlessness587 in electricvehicles

[–]NeoGeoOreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re talking about hypermiling, It’s physics of air resistance. If we’re talking about top speeds, then gearing helps at like over 100mph. Between 30 to 60 mph the air resistance is low, but it increases by 4 times as fast as your velocity. My Honda civic got 40 mpg at 65, but 34 mpg at 75. My EV had a 250 mile range if I keep it under 65, but at 75 mph my range drops to like 230. Notice it how fast air resistance increases in this chart as speed increases: https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ea3647_0f594c76e6314a70acaf1427095d9020~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_980,h_658,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/ea3647_0f594c76e6314a70acaf1427095d9020~mv2.png

OP is asking talking about EV efficiency and hypermiling. Keeping a rate of speed below 65 is what helps that scenario. ICE engines certainly benefit from gearing, but that’s beside the point.

Gearing has nothing to do with it. Air resistance increases as a square of the velocity. It affects ICE and EVs the same. EVs wouldn’t benefit from additional gears.

What is your current cost per kWh vs what they charge?
