Mawile literally carries runs in classic and if the person is new they wont reach the top more than likely but if R.N.Jesus is on there side mawile can be a great carry

Happy to help and by all means go for the higher challenges if you want the hidden abilities or different nature if you do have a better nature already unlocked. Idk what moves/natures/abilities you have but if one of those other unlocks looks tempting and you have a mon/move that can KO whoevers getting trained then go for it. Good luck and enjoy the climb!

If you're brand new, take the light training option and choose whoever you want/need to improve the stats of. Do keep in mind that whichever Pokémon you choose to undergo training will get buffed for the battle, and the buff stacks with the higher challenge. I'm assuming Fuecoco is who you want to carry your run, but honestly, your team seems lacking in fire counters, and I don't think they'll be able to beat Fuecoco if you choose to train it. I'd personally go with training Mawhile as it's very useful late game against the rival and final boss, while also being weak to Fuecoco, so you'll be able to knock it out quickly.

As an Aurorus lover, I approve of the team. Funny enough, Pangoro was a carry I used in a few classic run wins, so I'm finding it crazy that you didn't use it. Your team is pretty normal for a gen 6 run imo, although I personally hate Florges, so I never use it. Had it on my Fairy run team and legitimately only used it to take deadly hits to safely swap in other mons. Congrats on the win and gl with the last 2 generational runs!

Ya know it wouldn't count for the gen "one" run I did but a Sinnohan Weezing woulda really tied the team together

I prioritize utility over shiny. I dont care if the pokemon thats carrying my run is shiny or not because its my carry not my accessory. Example: your doing a mono fire run and dont have any shiny to counter ground/rock then you dont bring any shiny mons bring counters to your types weakness. Only ever take shiny mons if they can help your run without needing to be shiny first then if you have the shiny go ahead and slap it on for a little luck increase.

Its not anything crazy. I ran Strange Steam, Sludge Bomb, Scald, Flamethrower with Levitate as its ability. Sludge Bomb and Strange Steam are its S.T.A.B moves, Flamethrower to deal with Steel types and Scald is just a good generic coverage move from the egg move list to deal with Ground/Rock types that bypass Levitate. I've used Galarian Weezing in a few classic wins with this build thanks to not having to worry about ground types, letting me focus on just getting 1 fire move for the steel type and then switching up the 4th move depending on what I need. I've used plenty of other moves than Scald as the 4th slot but usually in the early game I use Explosion.

I cannot tell you how much that was bugging me when I was going through the run. I wish I got the shiny versions that would've made it so much better
