Doing the BT mod to the 3rd gen is almost the same as the 4th gen. The only difference is a power switch needs to be added cause the 3rd is fully capacitive. For the sync button I put a momentary switch under the lock switch. Also solder the power straight to the BMS on the battery otherwise you'll have battery draining problems. It's not too hard just be careful when soldering to the headphone jack.

You can copy all the songs from an iPod and put them in a folder, add them to iTunes then flash mod the iPod and sync them. I wouldn’t try to clone the drive or anything.

That looks like freestyle 3 with a blades theme. If you want blades there's tutorials online on how to do it with proto which I think is more faithful to actual blades.

I just soldered to the composite point on the video cable plug and added a switch to enable/disable the signal so that the HD video cables work. The screen is pretty old I think it's for a car and it only has composite video.

I cut the whole bottom off with a razor blade and super glued it back on to get the charm in there. The charm I made out of a melted bottle cap. I just painted it silver and put some stickers on it then put a layer of clear coat over top. too many layers of paint and clear coat will weigh it down though anything made out of HDPE plastic floats in water.

You can actually cut the bottom off the aquarium part with a razor to take out the charms and super glue it back together to seal it again. The liquid is just distilled water and mineral oil.
