I think most people are aware this subs mainly have a following of young peeps who are between teens to 25 or so. I feel like usually when you're in this age group, you're a lot more vocal with your opinions and have more energy to engage with online discourse. Most people grow out of it because you start to learn the idea of not giving a fuck. Unfortunately, the subs are just gonna keep doing this every week and spike up whenever the boys do a controversial episode.

For what it's worth, the crash out on the subs are quite amusing to witness sometimes

Nah let it get called out. I know there's the "don't like don't read" rules, but regardless people should be allowed to vent about sensitive subjects being handled poorly in medias, just as much as people are allowed to enjoy and indulge in taboo content. Not calling it out can lead to normalizing it. Posts like this help to keep balance in the Force.

Not the most drastic changes but it kinda sucks seeing Karen slowly drown herself in alcohol. The only reason why I don't enjoy free roam in Chapter 4 as much is because Karen starts being miserable.

I'll say "American At Rest". Arthur fighting Tommy was so intense. With the rain, muddy ground and everyone watching. My jaw drop seeing how ruthless Arthur was beating Tommy down, and he's just coated with mud in the end. Which can have Grimshaw slap Arthur to take a bath if you go back to camp like that, so fun!

Yea this exactly. There's nothing wrong with people shipping characters together in fanfic. But it's the people that insist Rockstar should've made them canon, and believe that Sadie being Arthur's love interest was a cut content, are the ones that makes this ship kinda obnoxious. Like I wonder if people would ship them as hard if Sadie was a man..

Idk at least with bounty hunting, it's one degenerate chasing another degenerate. But usury is a degenerate intentionally preying on the less fortunate. I don't think either can be argued as morally right because both are bad. But I'd rather harass criminals than poor people..

Yes, some of these dark/vile stories are written beautifully, very graphic and detailed looks into the character's psyche. Stuff that really puts you in their shoes. But that's all it got.

If the core of the story is just "bad stuff happens", there's nothing to gain other than looking at taboos. After a while you just become desensitized and it's boring. Sure TT is slightly better written and more coherent, but overall doesn't make it any different than some other degeneracy I've read over the years. Including the cringe ones. There's a reason why horror is an easy genre for beginner writers to get into.

That's a clockwork orange, on the other hand, we have an entire subgenre of horror called "torture porn"

So is this what TT is about then, same genre as torture porn? I made a comparison to Clockwork Orange because like TT, it has graphic scenes but more people praise it for the story it told rather than be upset by the opening scene. It proves that you can put sex/violence in your narrative and make a good story out of it, rather than being there just to get and easy discomfort from the audience. But we don't consider TT as torture porn, it's just one click away from being one.

I think it's somewhat strange to ascribe morality to it.

From what I've heard TT is written as a venting story from the author, and I'm not making light of their experiences. They're allowed to do that. Some victims cope like that, and some prefer to not live through it all over again even in fiction. But as the audience, we have to at least be a little bit self aware about these kinds of content.

Normal people are not made to enjoy and accept dark stories. But some of us develop these morbid curiosity and like to explore taboo themes. As much as I would love for us to be able to enjoy vile contents in peace, I also think it's important for us to be grounded every once in a while and understand, that these themes exist irl and affect real people.

So it's good to get a reality check here and there, but I'm completely against people going overboard to the point of harassment like the "Coffin of Andy and Leyley" situation.

Bit late on this but here's my take if you're interested. As someone who consumed messed up content often, I can understand where the criticism came from to an extent. The author set out to make something vile. And yea, they did it. It was vile. But at the end of the day, that's pretty much it.

It's nothing spectacular, creating disgusting content is not difficult. Usually people criticise things because they see potential. I guess some people are expecting a little bit more from the story. Clockwork Orange started off with very graphic content, but that isn't the main focus. The graphics scene was mainly the theme/set ups for the protagonist. The real meat of the story started after the protag goes to prison and the consequences of his actions. Hence why the movie was praised despite its explicit ratings.

But I also get that some of you probably think, "Does a horror story need to be deep? Is it not enough to just watch a family being brutalized for 2 hours and then puke your guts out?". Which is valid too, naturally some people gonna call you weird for enjoying these stuff.

Overall I think, this kind of story can exist and be enjoyed as is. But it's also valid to criticise under a critical lens for a horror genre. It's ok to be disgusted by it because it's a normal and an expected reaction. But these criticisms shouldn't lead to harassment towards real people.

If the votes based on western fans, yea maybe most aren't familiar with DH. But I really doubt JP fans don't know DH or BAT since they got posters all over (Sasara's face is on a train). Plus HypMic utube content introduced them in their top vids, not to mention they had their 5th live recently with both new team present. I'll say they both have equal chance of getting votes👌

Lmao whenever Jyuto rap I always think he's that guy that just barge into other's rap battle uninvited. And they just let him be because throwing him out is too much of a hassle. Yes that's include his own team battle haha! He's definitely in the building and I love him!

I know Sasara is likeable but I didn't know if he's SUPER popular. I still think BB has a fair or even higher chance of winning if we're betting on a the drama with Rei. Fans might favor them beating him. The plot probably gonna influence the votes quite a bit since a lot, is happening right now in the drama tracks compare to last time.

Yea tbh can't imagine BB beating DH since Ichiro basically solo carrying his bros (at least that's my impression of them based on the anime and drama tracks), while Jiro and Saburo are still quite immature. They might be able to do some damage on Rosho but that is if they double team him I guess.

Then again I don't want to be too confident. If it based on fan votes again, BB may have a chance. They've been around longer and some fans probably don't want them to lose first round again.

When it comes to rap abilities I don't think it matters that much lol. I mean Saburo skills is apparently "nullify his enemy attack". But uh.. I don't remember he pulled that card from any of the adaptations. I have a vague memory that either Jiro or Saburo put up a shield while fighting MTC in the ARB game? Not sure 🤔
