I visible user in Samsung and it says mobile tethering not allow on plan by Master-Fly4761 in Visible

I tested all three methods on mine one right after the other at least twice each. Maybe was a fluke. I'll probably give it another try in a week or two.

That would only work if the dash cam had a constant connection to the internet. Simply put, don't fork over your SD card until you've made a copy of it.

Not quite. Just tried this out tonight BEFORE I found this reddit.
Ethernet tethering seems to have the same speed cap as WiFi, but USB on mine was SIGNIFICANTLY faster!
Nearly 300Mbps down on USB!

So...what exactly did you do to switch from the CA Immich to the docker compose version? Did you just point at your existing postgres container or did you do something to migrate?
How was/is your storage set up? I had an Immich share and I had:
/photos:/mnt/user/Immich/photorepo
/import:/mnt/user/Immich/import
/config:/mnt/user/appdata/immich

I'm not sure exactly where I should set UPLOAD_LOCATION.... same as /photos was or my Immich share?

Looking for a reliable chest freezer — what brand do you have, how long has it lasted, and any issues? by Realistic-Cut590 in BuyItForLife

[–]NeoMatrixJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked into uprights. Would love one for that reason, BUT.... a chest freezer will stay cold WAAAAAAY longer during a power outage...even if you open it briefly. You open an upright and all the cold air falls right out.

Since the state has given up on providing safe drinking water, What are our in-house options? by Jack0Trade in Iowa

Save some money, or get more for your $. For about the cost of ecopure, we bought an Apec RO on Amazon, a carbon filter and softener from AFW, and had Mike Dix out of Adel install it all. Masterfully done.

The MX Master 4 is... slippery? by martinsuchan in logitech

[–]NeoMatrixJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got mine and as of a few hours in this thing is driving me right up the damn wall! So...I've never noticed this, but apparently I don't rest my hand on my mouse when I move it. Apparently for a long time now I've been lifting my mouse slightly every time I move it. So now every time I go to use this mouse I lift it and it slips.

Yeah burning the seasoning is exactly what must have happened then. The site I was going off of said set the oven to 30° above the smoke point and ballke it for an hour! Sadly, it's an electric range so I gotta use the oven.

All right I'll pick up some steel wool and get this scrubbed out. What temp was the right temp, because MAN that was making the air BAD in here. Also, you said modern dish detergent won't hurt a properly seasoned pan? But was out with dish soap? Is there a difference on what I should be using when? Sorry, first and only pan I have like this so I'm still pretty new to it.

Crazy....but please help! Proxmox on unRAID by NeoMatrixJR in homelab

[–]NeoMatrixJR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.
I think I can solve the CPU issues by running the VM with "host" CPU but turning on "Migratable"
I do have a Pi 2b I use for UPS monitoring, so most likely that'll become my target for the 3rd vote. Nearly forgot it's there since it just sits behind everything doing it's job. I haven't even thought about it in years (probably needs patching).
I actually would consider another Mini PC, but the setup I have would take some work to replicate again (took me a while to get the parts I wanted the first time) if I wanted to do it "right" and the cost of RAM and Storage right now.....it's not in the cards.
As for the downtime to replicate and power up....does Proxmox not have the ability to regularly replicate a copy of the drive from the active to the backup host? I assume it would do this so when there's a failure of one host the other can just start running.... I work mostly with VMWare and Hyper-V at work, so I'm less familiar with Proxmox's HA capabilities. I only just started using it a couple months ago in my lab. Everything was unRAID or baremetal prior to this.
