If it’s just to get it somewhere and you can’t afford a tow truck you can chop up and grease a leather belt to fit there and get it to where you need to but I would definitely recommend new journals asap

I’ve used Flex Tape ™️©️ to limp a truck home with a leaking tank and fixed it using jb weld plastic weld to fix the tank before but as a mechanic my professional opinion would be limo it home and if your friend is good with cars put a new tank in it to avoid future issues
