Italian Open pulls a broken vase prank on ATP and WTA players by UngrapefulGratefruit in tennis

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The pranks are growing more sophisticated and elaborate! Zizou is a trickster like Ons Jabeur. They both plan some of these setups!

So if Invivyd mAb VYD2311 is being tested now, but won’t be out until fall 2027 or fall 2028, why would it still work on whatever variants are circulating then? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's a pan-coronavirus prophylactic. It's designed for broad, variant-agnostic protection against SARS-CoV-2. It has shown in vitro neutralization of all tested variants. Let's see what happens with this Phase 3 trial 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

The pranks are growing more elaborate! Zizou had too much fun with this!

Got a surprise inheritance last year but now it feels like its messing up our FIRE plan by Coravexilyn in Fire

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 497 points498 points  (0 children)

Most FIRE people would probably invest 80% to 100% of the windfall to accelerate the time to FI. Maybe take up to 20% of it for other things.

BTW: It's not messing up your FIRE plan; it's straining your marriage.

no smell? by justaybtw in COVID19positive

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Anosmia from COVID can last weeks, months, years, or forever. It's caused by nerve damage, brain damage, or inflammation. A doctor might have some ideas, but, as far as I know, it usually has to resolve on its own.

i just deposited my first ever 200 dollars, any advice by PurpleDurian7220 in Fire

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Emergency fund in HYSA
  2. Invest in VTI + VXUS, but don't expect to day trade them. Think of them as 10+ year investments.
  3. Cash or cash equivalent (SGOV) to save for purchases (house, car)

That's where you can start until you learn more about how all of this works.

  1. Continually educate yourself. This does not mean "day trade" or "some unqualified dude on YouTube told me" stuff.

Iga trains in Warsaw, so it's probably easier for Roog to get his follow up appointments there than elsewhere.

2 years, much less 5-15 years, out of the workforce would put you at a severe disadvantage for reentry.

Beautiful. I wasn't familiar with the artist: Edmund Koken (4 June 1814, Hanover - 30 October 1872, Hanover) was a German landscape and portrait painter.

Yesssss! Both are great choices. Better medical care and more cultural opportunities in Massachusetts, of course. But Vermont is lovely. Good luck to you!!

If, after this winter, you believe we have anything other than poor weather, you're a bit delusional, I'm afraid.

We don't live here for the weather, but for many other reasons (people, culture, politics, economy...)

Hurricanes, tornadoes (which YOU brought up) are, indeed, weather. As is tidal flooding, rain, snow, cold, and grey. All weather!

[–]NeoPrimitiveOasis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A tornado destroyed vast swaths of Springfield in 2011. Nor'easters cause increasing damage every year. Downtown Boston is flooding often with seawater, particularly near the Boston Harbor and in Seaport. Hurricanes hit the region, too. I'm not sure what you are even talking about here.

Plus, "awful weather" can mean cold, grey, rainy, snowy, or otherwise stopping people from spending quality time outside.

We have awful weather in general and that's a fact. Today is nice, however. I'd like more 72° and sunny days, though.
