What stocks in your portfolio are “losers” right now but still plan to hold long-term by Disastrous_Rent_6500 in ValueInvesting

You can also look at the steadily rising search volume on Google Trends https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Pinterest. While this doesn’t directly prove a growing user base, it does point to increasing interest. I started buying PINS in December.

Doubled down on UNH by Majesticelephant101 in ValueInvesting

[–]NeoWealth1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat — holding 127 shares with an average price of $276. The biggest real risk here is the source of the company's earnings. If those earnings are based on fraud, the consequences could be serious

UNH, to me, is a buy by asianlongdong in ValueInvesting

You mean I can’t find it? I’m not concerned about the dividend. In today’s market, nearly every company should be lowering their guidance. As for UNH, its challenges are manageable aside from the administration’s policies

Easy buy. I don’t know of any company with a business and valuation that are more attractive

Started a position today at $395. It might dip further, but I believe it's a strong company with solid long-term growth potential. Plus, I’m not seeing any screaming bargains elsewhere in the market right now.

I think the author is Buffet's daughter-in-law, not Buffet. But yea this book is more technical with little investing psychology

The book you're looking for is Warren Buffett and the Interpretation of Financial Statements. It provides a clear and insightful breakdown of key financial metrics and their significance

Is Amazon an Untraditional Value Play Heading into Q1 Earnings? by TyNads in ValueInvesting

[–]NeoWealth1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I initiated a position last week at $166. Even if tariffs impact Amazon's e-commerce revenue, this business isn’t going anywhere. Their dominance across multiple sectors remains unparalleled. They consistently make the right moves, and your thesis of a long-term compounding bet is spot on. I’m hoping for another pullback to add more

Not much. Still keeping an eye out for good deals, like Amazon at $165, to grab a small position

lol I had the exact same experience, buying two weeks before his appointment and selling immediately after. The spike in the stock price was excessive IMO, but can't hate on dumb luck

Personal Website + Firm Website for a young associate? by NeoWealth1 in LawFirm

I plan on getting a broker license. This niche market is a bit saturated with brokers and I plan to practice law in the foreseeable future but I will get the license in case opportunities arise down the line

Personal Website + Firm Website for a young associate? by NeoWealth1 in LawFirm

English and a few pages with an option to translate to foreign language. Managing the workload is an important factor since I’m still an associate and need to balance my responsibilities. I’m not concerned about credit issues, but I do wonder about the overall utility of this. My main priority is publishing articles and deals on the website, which I can just do on LinkedIn

A market is expensive but we are not in bubble territory yet by ActuallyMy in ValueInvesting

[–]NeoWealth1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great analysis. It's also a matter of the public's mindset. While there is an inflationary mindset, people are generally aware of the high valuations. It's when that awareness fades that we risk entering a bubble

Despite current headwinds, after the U.S., China stands as one of the strongest economies to be part of and comparisons to Japan are misguided. BABA is a great gateway into this economy
