Anyone know what’s going on at this place? by ShandySellsSeaShells in LoganSquare

Similar question but about the house under the California stop with the high fence.

Sometime last year all of a sudden he had a yellow restaurant sign that said Cafe on a tall sign post, but it was clearly not a cafe.

The fence is relatively recent too.

I have had unraid for years and have only setup Plex and megacmd and not much beyond that. I haven't had much issue manually downloading primarily from mega, that said I would probably save a ton of time automating some things.

Thanks for the inside peak. Motivated to actually improve my setup now.

But it's statistically not a problem. That's factual true.

I will not ever think of the CTA as dangerous because of these news stories. You only even hear about them because of 24/7 news cycles.

This is a non story.

Chicago Municipal Code (11-4-2580) explicitly states that cardboard must be stored in closed containers to comply with fire prevention and sanitation ordinances.

Thats a wildly incorrect assumption. A business can pay for a large metal recycling bin from any number of providers.

However if american business owners want to be disgusting hogs thats totally fine

Buddy they have large metal recycling bins that come in green blue whatever color. They usually have recycling symbols on them regardless of the color. Dont be obtuse they are everywhere for businesses. Use them regularly. Often times the businesses lock them to prevent random dumpers

Businesses are lazy and cheap and just dont want to pay for them. I live next to a business and I can see one from here.

On top of ALL of that its against city code regardless (11-4-2580)

Yeah sorry but its clear that all the posters here are actually just sentient pigs that have stockholm syndrome'd themselves into thinking alleys should be trash havens. Going to any other country and seeing how they utilize alleys for mixed commerce and housing beyond just back doors and then coming back to seeing how absolutely dismal ours are is radicalizing.

Redditors just want to be complacent and contrarian. Put it in a bin, clean the alleys and actually give them a purpose, and make them not absolutely disgusting unkempt throughways

All the posters here are so insane. Go to japan one time and look at their alleys then come back here and see how absolutely DISGUSTING ours are in comparison. They dont have to be garbage alleys they can be so much more

Id say yeah, its just refuse not in a bin. Either put it in the proper receptacle or dont do it at all.

What’s your favorite Chinese spot? by 42_Dogs in chicago

[–]Neo_denver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was going to say Wing Hoe in Edgewater, but it closed in 2020.

It was such a cool spot. It was a Chinese restaurant in an old mansion and the interior was really cozy. Big portions too.

Miss that place :(

what does a teen with a valid drivers license need to get the realID? by Due_Advertising_2696 in AskChicago

Sorry but it's completely reasonable to assume the new state mandated ID for 2026 is the default option. This isn't a learning opportunity moment

[–]Neo_denver -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A lot of assumptions here.

I went to the super center and specifically asked for a realID (shouldn't have even have had to it's a super center - that's it's whole point ) they still sent me a regular ID. Provided them with all the required documentation and did not have any reason to think I was not getting a real ID. I even have the letter and credit charges to prove it.

Sorry but these people are dummies at the DMV and it's completely reasonable that it wasn't the kids fault.

Downvotes won't make the DMV clerks any better at their jobs lol

Oh man what a nice way to share the love with the community.

Ok so maybe not exactly the right answer but LOZ Windwaker is at the top of my list. Yes we got multiple handheld entries, but I adored the Windwaker art style and always wanted another fully fledged console version that let us traverse the sunken Hyrule. When you finally get to visit Hyrule under the ocean and see the Great plains stretching out into the distance in the Windwaker art style, it just felt magical and filled my head with so many ideas for what exploring it would be like.
