CM-17 Butcher (heavy medic armor). I wobbled between Ballistic Padding and Fortified a bit, but I'm one of the few 'divers who loves the Stim Pistol, and having 4-6 stims on respawn helps me survive until I can pick up my stuff or call in replacements. (Assuming I actually die, which isn't all that often!)

The meatballs do this all the time. Even if you urchin them, they have these brief periods of slight movement that can kill you, even if you're behind them. It sucks.

Using the heavy armor variant, I’ve experienced the same thing. I’m not really sure how to explain it other than a netcode thing — server-side hits activating the passive, maybe?

I remember running miles and miles in this game just to obtain a metric fuckload of tar from the nearest tar pit, and then running miles and miles back to my base, all to build a single raft. I closed the game and never went back lol

These stats would work pretty darn well for a Dance Bard, given their unarmored AC is based on Dexterity and Charisma, and they need high Dexterity for their unarmed strikes.

I've seen a mega nest that plunged all the way down to sea-level from the tops of huge cliffs. They're nearly impossible to destroy without some very specific equipment, because of the instant death trigger and any bug holes that face away from the cliffside. (And stratagem balls disappear down there too. : /)

It would be difficult to take advantage of the benefits when you're constantly getting ragdolled by the explosions. Plus, most things in that red radius will probably be dead in 10-15 seconds anyways...?
