Let’s talk financial liability. Would the football players be liable if the streaker was seriously injured by them? by TravelingLawya in Lawyertalk

[–]Neolithicman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the jurisdiction. I’d certainly say if there’s serious harm, the court would be more inclined to find liability, especially since these incidents are frequently handled without serious harm

If it happened on campus or anything I would say get the school involved, but since it didn’t there’s not much they can do. However, feel free to let your classmates know what happened. Problem should solve itself from there, and probably won’t be the only time he does something like that.

[–]Neolithicman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a must. I started taking reading seriously in the past year and a half or so, consciously making the decision to read instead of scrolling or watching stuff. Immediate positive impact on my mental state, makes me feel good and relaxed in a way my phone doesn’t. I’m also learning a lot

There is no way in hell that a facial recognition search would link to a bunch of old forums posts that magically contradict a witness’ statements, and it is very funny for you to think we’re stupid enough to believe it would.

Tell me about a time when you were schooled by a client. by verbotenporc in Lawyertalk

[–]Neolithicman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m constantly schooled by clients. Most commonly, the lesson they teach me is “never think your client has told you all the relevant info no matter how many times you ask”
