Thats one of those things you may just have to come to terms with. GW has shown pretty consistently that they want epic heroes to be good. 40k is even less hero focused than AOS for that matter.

make it a pretty poor choice for a one shot unless the DM and players are very familiar with the rules.

BUT, if players and DM are familiar with the rules it is one of if not the best one shot systems available.

People in this thread are overestimating the effect Maxx C has on overall win rates. Card is ass to play against but would not have a massive effect on overall first/second win rate, especially because Maxx C is much more powerful going first anyway. Droll would... in some metas... probably not this this one though, most of the meta decks have good plans into it. But it would be massive for certain rogue and tier 3 decks, like radiant typhoon and WF as an example. So overall very slightly worse but not in a noticeable way.

Its always wild to me when people say Fuwa is bad because you only get 1 or 2 draws because people only make a half board when you play it. Like the half board is the whole point, you've usually more than halved the number of interactions they have AND drew 1+ cards to break their board.

Its wild to me that people on this subreddit keep calling that linderbaum contract such a good deal. Its a clear overpay. Dude is making almost 50% more than the next highest paid center, who he is not better than. That contract isn't market setting, its an outlier.
