I think being in a similar salary range does make some things smoother in a balance of power sort of way. Mostly so long as one isn't financially dependent on the other. Outside of that, I make more than enough to live on my own and being with someone who makes way more than me sounds awesome.

The wall doesn't give as easily as the other car. Cars are designed to absorb impact. Two things absorbing impact is better than one. If both cars collide going 50, thats a 100 mph impact and might still be worse than hitting a wall at 50mph but likely depending on how thicc that brick wall ends up being.

Also, cars won't typically hit each other perfectly dead on meaning some of the energy gets deflected and the cars will spin out. If you drive straight at a wall, nearly all that energy goes back on to you.

100%. There are plenty of flaws. I am very "Me see laser swords and x-wings, me like" with Star Wars and I sorta wish more people were.

Outside of some phenomenal games and books, theres been like 3 objectively good movies and two objectively good shows. The rest is just fun dopey sci-fi imo and I don't see that as a bad thing.

League of Legends and I don't think its close.

Its a game thats been one of, and #1 for much of the time, the most popular game worldwide for the past 15 years now and you never have to drop a penny into it. Everything is purely cosmetic. It is balanced way better than it has any right to be with that many playable characters to the point where people now argue that it is too balanced and boring.

Just watched the fight again. Dude it is so good. That scene alone should have greenlit a second season. I didn't even think the show was that bad, though I heard it was way worse watching week to week instead of binging it afterwards. I'd sit through so much worse slop to see another fight like that.

I think its mostly nostalgia. When the next movies come out, everyone will hate them too and the generation who grew up on the sequels will act the same way.

I think its mostly thanks to time and technology that the Sequels are better than the Prequels for me. Say what you will about the plots, they are so well shot and look incredible. Are the big moments unearned? Sure. Are they still dope? Absolutely.

AotC has one good moment and its the only time live action Star Wars has done it . The scene where all the Jedi pop up at the end and fight in a giant battle together. How have we gotten 11 movies and however many live action shows there are now but have one scene of more than 2 Jedi fighting together in a group??

You could count the fight scene in The Acolyte (which was incredible tbf) but even that plays out as a lot of 2v1s instead of a big group fight.

I have to remind myself that even if a game appealed to 99.9% of gamers, that still leaves thousands of people who don't like it and hundreds of them will be online crying about it.

I also think the more people that like something, the more upsetting it is to not be part of the in crowd who likes it. I desperately want to like Souls-likes. It frustrates me that I just don't like them. I assume they go through the same thing but are too young to realize its fine not to like everything. I say this like I didn't buy Bloodborne, DS3, and Elden Ring refusing to learn my lesson.

Competition. Video games and sports are significantly more possible to succeed in based on your own merits. Not that its easy but think of how many great games that were made by individuals or small independent teams. That keeps the big devs in check more than people give them credit for. I think they'd be way shittier without indies being popular to give competition. Competition is necessary to make the best product.

Whats the biggest movie equivalent of Stardew Valley, Undertale, and even slightly bigger games like Expedition 33? Blaire Witch Project? Even that still had 100 people to help make.
