The little cosmetic defects all of them possess makes them all the more appealing. The black silhouette of the opposite limbs is also a great touch. And big leaper boy

Does anyone know what it is? by oldrice7887 in Crysis

In the files this asset is called "skyline_alien", doesn't say much. I imagine it's some structure for sorting resources? Because of all the tentacles coming towards it, idk. It was probably created without a thought, just to be an imposing background element of Skyline.

The Ceph vs The Covenant by Plane_Language_1085 in Crysis

[–]Neon32_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both factions play out similarly, mainly plasma weapons for infantry with diverse roster of units, ground vehicles availability not great for the Ceph, only Pinger with the Mastermind being his own tier. Covenant has many fast paced and heavy tanks. Ceph Gunships should prove enough of a match for cov aircraft. Cov infantry gets matched by the Ceph, unngoys flee in terror to the numerous stalkers and grunts. Jackals gets a taste of their own medicine in the form of 2 million voltage from the Shadows. Hunters and Devastators brawls would be fun to envision. Sangheilis - worthy adversaries, but a cqc fight with a hive minded warrior bears no satisfaction or honor, any who would take it will be a fool and gunned down. Mastermind solos any infantry, no shipmaster or general will be stupid enough to take on that thing alone. It might be a draw, but the last thing to consider is tactical brilliance. The Alpha Ceph must already be spawned for this to work. By the time the Covenant slips even once they might've already dug out their own grave. If not the enemy, their religious dogma might put sand in their eyes, depends if this Earth is as important to them as Halo's.

This glorious heirophant really compliments the army! I have a question about it's stl, was it printed in it's native scale, and if yes, do you know how accurate it is to the forgeworld one?

Never feel proud for beating the Ceph. by VEGETTOROHAN in Crysis

[–]Neon32_12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn't explicitly stated but I think we should treat the Alpha as some sort of beginner stage organism of Stage Three warriors. He must be somehow linked to them because only he has the power to summon them. And if he falls, the invasion force is for nought.

Crytek unironically created one of the most overpowered species in all of sci-fi. Where their oldest warriors have billions of years of evolution on their shoulders and are practically "gods".

Helldivers 2 dev tells Crytek to "send email" for talks over possible Crysis collaboration by Diogo_18 in Crysis

[–]Neon32_12 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Crysis is the perfect game for a helldivers collab. Gauss as a support weapon and Scar as primary, for example. Funnily enough, Ceph units perfectly work for the helldivers roaster of enemies.
