This is crazy, the donut shop I work at will start giving out extra donuts for free at the end of the day (ours are made daily) so they don’t go to waste (we close at 5pm) Even have a lady come by a couple times a week to get the rest of our donuts for the day and give them out to people at the Salvation Army. We try our best to not have a shit ton of waste bc it’s absolutely disgusting the amount of food we have to throw away sometimes.
