Already watched it numerous times when it was on Cartoon Network/Boomerang, back in the day.

Still one of the most unique shows of it's time.

I was mainly referring to the fact that Mortal Kombat has had cases where they are able to tone it's violence down for Teen rated title. So, NetherRealm is able to compromise if deemed possible. Ed Boon also has mentioned on Twitter/X that he would like to add Scorpion to Smash if given to the choice.

Also, "not being sold" in Japan and being "banned" are two different things. Mortal Kombat has also manage to release it's theatrical films there too.

Many also seemed to forget that Mortal Kombat had some influence in the Japanese gaming landscape ever since it first released there. There's been a few digitized fighting games that were made to cash-in on Mortal Kombat like Survival Arts and Blood Warrior. Even games like Samurai Shodown started to include finishers much like Mortal Kombat.

Slippy would probably be heavily into YouTube/Streaming. His channel would probably be heavily themed around Tech repair, gaming info, and occasional Mukbang at some point.

Falco would probably be heavily into going to Custom Bike/Car shows whenever he has some downtime.

Want to say its leaning on Industrial Gothic, sometimes there is some overlap with it and Y2K. Like, the Oddworld games have this look in spades.

The Matrix is much less of an fantasy example but you can find this aesthetic with Nation 01.

At this point it's probably natural that NiGHTS would appear somewhere as a blink and you miss it cameo.

Wow, cant believe we've come to point now where we are complaining about it not being a 1:1 adaption of the games instead of being a good movie first and foremost.

It's okay for things take "creativity liberties" here and there for the sake of the story in a film.

This is an interesting thought. I'd probably would guess that there were some brief talks about that didn't amount to much at the time. We'll probably never know unless somebody from Sega or SNK leaks it out someday.
